    Rerun Shave ...

Yes, this is the same shave as last Saturday, hence the same photo. There was one difference between last week's shave and this version. This week a different blade was used with a Kriss Kross stropper.

The results were a smoother shave than last week which using the blade straight out of the package. Each blade was cleaned with scrubbing bubbles before use.

I haven't used Ferox in a while and today's return was very pleasant. It lathers easily and the scent is clean and fresh. Turns out to be a nice match with Fine Platinum. The lather is very protective, owing to the combination of lanolin and Shea butter. My face feels amazing.
    Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol
    Soap: B&M Ferox
    Brush: HIS XL
    Razor: iKon SC101
    Blade: Personna blue
    AS: Fine Platinum

    Brush: Muhle Black Fiber Synthetic
    Lather: Dr. Dittmar
    Post: Omega balm

I don't know what's up with these Treets. I hate them now... Is it because I didn't store them well or my taste is changing??? They seem dull and rough. Finished up with a stainless steel GEM blade for a smooth shave. No cuts or irritation but I did experience some burn from the soap. Back with the MMOC- it is overrated as being aggressive IMO... I got a very close shave yesterday so 1 pass ATG is all I needed for a DFS.

Oil: none - in a hurry
Brush: 20mm Whipped dog set deep
Razor: slim adjustable set to 5
    Blade: Feather

Like yesterday, I was in a huge hurry this morning. I took a quick shower, and did virtually no prep. I face lathered and did a 3 pass shave. It came out very well with no nicks cuts, weeper or irritations.

Soap: Jabonman Mountain. This is another fantastic artisan soap plus Manuel is great with which to deal. Great scent, slick comfortable lather. Lathers easily with little effort. I also picked up some Tierra Humeda (Wet Earth) which has the same attributes. However, a most unusual scent which is hard to describe. A most musky, earthy scent - not like any other soap I have ever smelled. I almost did not make the purchase due to the price w/shipping but am very happy I did. I am enjoying wonderful shaves. Highly recommended and well worth the cost.:happy088:
Brush: Barbear Classico Texugo. A perfect fit for this soap.
    Blade: Ladas
Razor: Gillette Long Handle Black Beauty Adjustable. A nice old vintage.

Today, I went back to face lathering the Mitchell's Wool Fat with my Frank Shaving Finest badger brush. I got a thick lather in very little time. It took only two passes with my Gillette NEW and Astra SP blade to get a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayers Cucumber WH and Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My neck was all torn up from this shave. I think the Polsiver SI blade was pushed too far. I threw it in the blade bin. But my Subarctic Saturday shave had an awesome cooling effect.

My Sharp blade gave me a final great shave and it's enjoying retirement now - by the way, this Vostok cream is one hell of a face-freezer. My #6 horsehair brush is also one hell of a lather-maker. It took only two passes to get me BBS and my wife freaked out when she caressed and kissed my face afterwards. The only thing she doesn't really care for is the Skin Bracer - she says it's too "old man-smelling" but let's face it, I'm a man in my sixties now. ;) :D

Prep: Hot shower,TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: RazoRock Cumba Cheech
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo
Blade: Big Ben Super Stainless (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (1, 2)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock Cumba Cheech AS balm

Early-morning sleepiness had me soak the brush less than normal this AM; luckily the croap nature of RazoRock's product evened that factor out. The Big Ben was more comfortable to my face in the more aggressive FaTip than in the milder 41c, quite possibly because I was so mindful of the amount of pressure to use. Two passes got me DFS+ results, and the alum didn't find any weepers or irritation.
