    Razor: Fatip Grande Anthracite
    Blade: Super Iridium (D1)
    Brush: H.I.S. 1918 25mm
    Bowl: Aesop Stainless Steel Bowl
Pre Shave Soap: MRGLO Lime Basil
Pre Shave Balm: TSD Iced SubZero
    Shave Soap: Glacial - Obsidian
    Post: Monster Alum Block
    Aftershave: TSD Iced Subzero

Great shave this morning. Started off the day with a Star Anise tallow bath bar and decided to stay with the black theme. Black brush, black razor and the mighty fine Glacial Obsidian- black licorice shave soap. Not my favorite scent from Rod, but this Glacial Obsidian is the easiest of the 5 Stirling's that I have to lather up. Have a great one gents.

Yep, and it didn't cost an arm or a leg either. This Parker is a great performer but, it is a bit of a lather hog. It will load enough for three passes but, cleans up very easily. :happy088:

    Prep: CeraVe facial cleanser
    Soap: HTGAM, unscented
    Brush: HIS synthetic brush
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Feather
    After: Cold rinse, CeraVe lotion

The passes plus touch up, very smooth results. I am amazed at how easily this soap makes a very good lather.

    Brush: Isana Men Pure Badger
Soap: Arko with 4 drops of eucalyptus and mint oils.

I had a CCS this morning. The quick freezing feeling on my face was terrific. Arko is my favorite soap but with my modification (adding mint and eucalyptus oils) I started to love it more and more :)

    Menthol Monday:

Prep: Hot shower, Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
Soap: Ginger's Garden Grass Stain Menthol Snow
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo
    Blade: Perma-Sharp Super (2)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (3, 4)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma Alum, Dickinson's WH, Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS splash

That competition didn't last long. One day in, and the Perma-Sharp is showing signs of tugging and general wear, including a weeper at my throat and several spots stung by the alum. I'm a bit under the weather today, so I'm not conclusively calling it the blade's fault, and yesterday's shave was good enough to warrant further consideration here, but I do hope future experiments with the Perma-Sharp improve over today.

    Menthol Monday
Another brilliant Synergy shave. This time with Frost_Byte. This is easily my favorite menthol soap - it has the best combination of cold, lather quality, and skincare of any menthol soap I've tried, and is better than most non-menthol soaps, too. The damp HIS worked wonders on the presoaked soap puck, and my SC101 smoothly wiped out my stubble. I finished with my favorite menthol aftershave, Krampert's Finest Frostbite. If you like menthol AS, you really should try this one - it's very cold and has a nice piney frankincense scent and excellent skincare.

    Prep: warm shower
    Soap: HTGAM Synergy Frost_Byte
    Brush: HIS Lather Monster
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Personna lab blue
    AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite

Received my Gillette NEW open comb back from Nick at www.sportshaving.com after it received a new nickel coating. I think it is even smoother than it was before!

Prep: face wash with Stirling Barbershop
    Lather: Tiki Set Sail
Brush: Vie-Long Lord Randal mixed horse and badger
    Razor: Gillette New LC
    Blade: Astra SP (1)
    Post: Captain's Choice Lime

The open combed New style Gillette razor seems to fit my shaving needs to a T. It does great on my face and on my scalp. I have a mate to it, that is deciding whether it wants to be plated in Black Chrome or gold and an old style open comb Gillette razor which will be plated in nickel to match its younger sibling.

    Razor: Schick I1 injector
    Blade: Personna (15)
    Brush: Muhle black fiber synthetic
    Lather: Dr. Dittmar
    Post: Pinaud

First time with the Dr. Dittmar soap and I am impressed. Yes, even though this one doesn't have tallow. It has a nice very light (nearly non existent) powdery scent. It is also among, if not the most, beard softening soap I've ever used. It also has good cushion and slickness to along with it. The lather was very dense and creamy yet not greasy (*cough cough* Stirling, Tiki, and MdC). Post shave feel was excellent. No residue was left and my face felt clean yet moisturized. I could also swear it lightened my skin... The container sucks though. More testing is required to see if it is worthy of being an alternative to MWF.
