    THURSDAY
Very smooth 3-pass shave with two hands. I thought I was getting pretty good with the single 'off' hand shaving, but it is still so much easier when I use my left hand.
I really enjoy the Institut Karite products (cream & post-shave balm)…all that shea butter leaves my face feeling great.

    Have a great Thursday, everyone!

    Razor: Gillette New style razor

3 passes with no issues. I was pleasantly surprised by the Wilkinson Sword blade. My last couple of shaves with this model have not been good, but in the New it was smooth and easy. Perhaps it is technique?

I can tell I'v been away from them in a day or two. beautiful shave dfs++.
finish with aqua velva. I'd use antifreeze if I thought it would be cooler. hot in Florida, y'all stay cool. 20140626_075747.jpg

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: Aristocrat
Blade: BIC Chrome Platinum (day 3)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Cream: Arko Extra Sensitive
    Passes: 3 (WTG, 2xXTG)
Post: Witch Hazel, Arko Ice Mint

Yesterday's BBS shave had my face feeling a little raw by the end of the day so I dropped the ATG pass in favor of an extra XTG.

Ended up with a very nice DFS, and an irritated face, enough to get a slight sting from the witch hazel. I decided to step up my post shave and went with the Arko ice mint. It was not as cold as I remembered or wanted it to be, but there was some cooling.

    Kerry,
A strange thing is happening with this soap. Every time I build lather, it seems like I load for less time and the lather gets better. I think I have about a week left, but who knows? I started this soap on May 22 and have used it every day except for 3. I received it for free, but even if I had paid for it, it seems like a pretty good value. Soft and easy to load but makes a creamy and slick lather.

    Soap: GFT Almond
    Razor: Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Astra SP(3)
    Splash: Wal-Mart Witch Hazel 86%
    Post: Gillette Gel AS
After: Aqua Velva Ice Blue Classic

I feel good! (in my James Brown voice) I really do! Excellent shave this morning. I really love the feel of the Omega on my dome. I love the way it holds heat and lather. As a matter of fact, if it wasn’t so honking huge, it would be my favorite brush! I have named it “Brushzilla”! Last shave on the Astra SP. Still super smooth and sharp. I could probably push this one another couple of shaves with no issues. Definitely going to get more of this blade. I think the GFT Almond is my favorite almond scent so far. It just fills the bathroom. The lather is excellent also. Just a dollop the size of a quarter gave me enough lather to 2-pass the dome and 3-pass the neck easy. It’s a nice, rich lather with lots of glide. The plain witch hazel still stinks. But it gets the job done. As soon as I find a scented version I’m gonna relegate this stuff to the back of the cabinet. I have a nostalgic thing for the Gillette Gel. It’s cheap, its got that classic pharmacy store “masculine” scent, and it’s easy like Sunday morning.. ;)

Come on down to That Shave Life!

    Prep : shower + clearasil
    Razor : Gillette Rubie
    Brush : Semogue 1305
    Cream : Mem Olive
    Blade : Israeli Personna - Viking's Sword (1)
Post : cold water + Thayer's Witch Hazel + Floid Blue

Another day, another shave... When I start using a product I tend to continue to reach for it every day for 3-4 months then suddenly move to something else. Anyway today it was Mem Olive cream and Semogue 1305 again and face lather again, I have no problem using this combination for some months now :)
Two quick passes WTG and ATG with the Gillette Rubie razor and the Viking's Sword and I'm ready. Thayer's witch hazel and Floid Blue provided the Grande Finale for today's shave.

    L'Occitane Cade

    Post: Alum sprayed on
    Witch Hazel: Generic rose scented
    AS: Sampsons all natural

I tried L'Occitane Cade for the first time today. I really like the cushioning of the French soaps. I consider this a very good soap, even though it cost me $112.00. (more on the price later).

I have now successfully used my feather blade for four shaves twice in a row. Opening up my adjustable to 4 has been allowi9ng me 3 pass shaves that turn out as well as my previous 4 pass shaves.

Why did it cost me $112.00? I jumped on my motorcycle, rode about 40 miles to the Tampa mall, found the shop and bought some for $12.00 plus change. The other $100.00 was from a new battery that I had to buy because my old one died in the mall parking lot. Bummer!
