I was skeptical about the hype of the mountain badger, but no more. Steve gifted me a handle and I glued the knot in a couple days ago. The mountain badger is like lathering with a cloud! Super soft and very luxurious. It holds a lot of water so I had to adjust my lather a bit, but wow! Whatta shave!

Excellent lather again today, even with the smaller brush, I just took my time loading it up. Three comfortable passes plus touch up produced a nice smooth face.

It's going to warm up to 80 today here in Seattle. We have been putting up with a cool, rainy June-uary so far. Got to find my sunglasses...

Today's SE razor was the Gem Pushbutton. The TOBS continues to astound me with its smoothness, richness, and ability to develop a great lather. I did four swirls today with my Frank Shaving brush. Amazing lather for three passes and a touch up. The Pushbotton performed flawlessly. This is the best shave I have had ever I think. Third shave with this blade. I will be using it with my last Gem tomorrow, the Gem Jr. "Parade."​

The Florena creme was completely new to me. Saw it at Rossmann today at the family's quarterly shoppingspree in Germany. Having never heard of this brand before, at 0.75 euro, I had to try it.

I like the scent. I'm not that difficult with scents. But I find it a bit too heavy for my taste. Can't have it all I guess

Performance wise I'm super impressed. Very slick and protecting and it lathered like I don't know what!

1. Pre: Hot shower; Lucky Tiger Lemon wash & Hot towel
2. Razor: 30's Gillette New Bar Handle -brass & copper
3. Blade: Feather Hi-Stainless — First time!
4. Soap: Tabac; dab of TOBS cream & glycerin - hot lather in a scuttle
5. Brush: VDH Boar -the ongoing break-in continues....
6. Shave: 3 light passes plus touch-up
7. Post: Cold water wash, towel dry; 4711 aftershave; Pre De Provence balm

First go with the Feather blades; slow & steady with the little New (love the feel of this razor).
No rash, no blood-letting, no irritation.
Just a REAL close, smooth shave! My first BBS in quite some time!
Face feels great! I could get REAL used to these blades!

 

I love that Florena cream so much. It used to be available in Canada, but no more and I feel bad because it's so good. The scent is clean and so nice and the camomile in it calms and soothes sensitive skin so well and gives it a feeling of being "born again."

 

It might be a while before I can stock up on it, but maybe we can do a trade if you're interested?

 

Thanks for the offer, but for now I'm good. I have a couple of new tubes which a friend of mine sent me in trade.
