    5/8 W&B
    SRD Patchouli
    22mm Omega
Everest balm and Stephan Bay Rum

Touched up the W&B on a little lapping film and it resulted in a very close, comfortable shave. Post shave skin care wasn't quite as good as yesterday, so maybe it's the VdH contributing to the skin care feeling. I will say that the Everest balm and cream is good stuff. Have a good one.

This fantastic shave was made possible by my dear friend Dmitry who sent me this fantastic Russian cream and aftershave balsam. Originally, I was going to use another cream or soap but this morning my skin felt like it needed some extra care and protection, so I decided to go with the Phyto Expert stuff. The cream lathers like crazy and has a nice cooling effect, and the soothing it gives is awesome. Its corresponding balsam is even more cooling and not only moisturizes and soothes, it leaves the skin so smooth and irritation-free. I'm starting to really enjoy witch hazel - until this year I'd never used any. ;) :D

    Proraso Green Soap
    Vie Long 12603 horsehair
    E4 Fatboy set on 6
    Astra SP blade (1)
    Proraso aftershave

Decided to leave the Fatboy set on 6 with a new blade, this may be the sweet spot for the Fatboy but I'll bump it up to 7 tomorrow and see. I love the feel and scent of the menthol and eucalyptus when I'm face lathering with the Proraso, and the Proraso aftershave just seemed appropriate.

    Assimilation complete!

My wife is finally all in with Traditional Wet Shaving!

    Her shave of the day:

    Prep: Hot shower
    Soap: TSD Victorian Rose
    Brush: HIS synthetic
Razor: '65 Pink Lady Gillette (she loves it, Jim!!)
    Blade: Astra SP
Post: Thayer's Rose Petal WH w/ aloe vera

I'm so proud! She whipped up her own lather for the first time; looked like she's been doing it for years.

Bought it from Amazon - 5.5 inch suribachi bowl. I think it was under 10 bucks. Works a treat although I do wish it were a little deeper.

Travelling, without my usual gear. . . .

    Hot shower
Bee line brand boar brush soaked in hot water
    VDH scented soap
    Bic Metal disposable :angry017:
    WTG, XTG, ATG
    Cold water splash
    Nivea Active aftershave balm
    Gaiac cologne

Darned near BBS shave, but that disposable Bic Metal was on a mission to see how many weepers it could open on my throat without opening the artery.

Lather TSD unscented soap with extra glycerin
    Muhle hjm synthetic brush
    Gillette fat handled Tech
    Gillette Silver Blue blade (3)
    CeraVe lotion

Refreshing cold water shave for a warm Saturday morning. The TSD soap made an excellent lather. In my face lathering exuberance I flung a blob of lather onto Tooey the shave cat. I apologized profusely, but he wasn't even aware until I wiped it off his black fur.

The Gem Jr. is the last of my Gem/Ever-Ready razors. This is shave number 4 for this blade. I took only three swirls with the TOBS today. I think I may have reached the lower limit for swirls. I was still able to whip up a great lather and enough for two passes and touch-ups. Although an excellent shave, it does not touch the shave I got yesterday with the Gem Pushbutton. Tomorrow I will start finishing up the SE Tour with my Shicks.
