I absolutely LOVE Valobra sticks and use then both in bowl or face-lathering variants. Great shave. Merkur 23C/Feather becomes a favorite combo. Mayor splash added a nice refreshing Menthol kick.

I was thinking of my dear friend Dmitry this morning, so I decided to take a nice shave with my Tet-a-tet cream, and I'm so happy that I did. This cream has everything that I love - the rich, slick lather, the classy and traditional scent, and the enjoyable cooling sensation. The matching aftershave balsam and the Alt Innsbruck gave me an additional menthol kick. BTW, this shave was a much better one - I would call it a BBS!

Nice shave this morning. I liked the Trafalgar which surprised me, normally I don't like cologne base soaps and creams. Skin care wise, I have other soaps I prefer. Have a nice Saturday. I'm off to a flea market and then a little shop time.
I have to correct the above, a couple of hours post shave, my skin does feel pretty darn good.

I followed the advice of people who said to transfer the Vegetal to a glass bottle. Although I was skeptical that it would change anything, the glass bottle did seem to smooth it out. I liked it before the transfer and I like it more now.

I know I'm using the same stuff everyday now....I apoligize....But the shaves are consistantly awesome....This is the best Summer for shaving I've ever had....Usually, hot temps and sweating burn my shaved face...especially if I have a really close or BBS type shave.....Well this summer its hotter than normal....and I'm sweating like crazy, and I've been getting the closest, BBS type shaves dailly...But sooo irritation free that the heat and sweat can't touch it....Unbelievable...So I don't want to do anything to mess with the shaves I'm getting...

 

What an Excellent shave !!!


Prep: Hot shower followed by two steaming towels, one over the first lather
ÜberLather: Tabac e Tabac w/ 5 drops of Glycerin
Razor: "The Wizard of Whiskers"

Strop: 25/50 SRD Premium #1
Shave: WTG, XTG, clear water touch up on the beard lines

This razor is one of those that laughs at the notion of "Too Sharp" the edge is wicked sharp and the shave is smooth as silk..

Post: Cold water rinse, RazoRock rubdown, ice water splash, Old Spice cologne (went great with the C3 scent )

The TSD SOTQ C3 is a great scent for the summer. And using warm water with it gave me a much better lather than the last two days using ice water.
A very close, comfortable shave.
