Prep: Hot shower (used, as always, Pert Plus Fresh (mentholated) shampoo + 2 drops M Bomb for an extra kick. It is, after all, Menthol Monday ), hand strop blade
Coffee: Home Roasted Costa Rica Tarrazu, hot and black
Soap: TSD Wild Rose + 4 or 5 drops M Bomb
Brush: 24mm Silvertip, Red Mallee Burl from Elite Razor

A momentary lack of concentration resulted in missing a 5 blade shave by just a small nick on my upper lip. :mad:

Thanks. Things kinda went well. The cancer surgery was a complete success. But the 6 blood clots in my lungs afterwards wasn't so cool. Set me back a bit. Doing well now and glad to be back at work.

-actually missed a shave Sunday-very rare since converting. What to do with an extra days growth-a Slant of course-mowed those whiskers down and probably could have gotten away with one pass but I had all that nice cream on the brush-can't let it go to waste.

One pass DFS, with a little skin stretching...Didn't shave for 2 days, but no need to bump up the setting. The Slim/Derby combo, gave meaning to the old "Hot knife through butter" line....very gentle and very smooth...
I'm not shooting for a one pass "injector type shave", just happened...

5 blade, 4+ passes. Took an extra pass this morning, and I got a little irritation. Nothing a little Bay Rum sting couldn't handle. A fine shave.

Pretty close to BBS even though I only did two passes N-S and S-N. This razor and the Boker Red Injun seem to have held their edge the best. The rest of the fleet has had touch up hones but these two seem to do just fine with the initial hone and then just a strop and go. Jimmy Buffett and Bob Marley on tunes. Great shave to start a great day

Today, I had a great Italian shave with a Russian finish--this Proraso Red cream should never have been discontinued, because it's so good. The Tet a tet balm is very cooling and soothing, and it smells very nice.
