Hot Shower Vitamin E Oil Preshave Wade and Butcher Wedge Omega Boar Williams Soap Witch Hazel Pinaud Lilac Vegetal Murray and Lanman's Lotus and Violets A fabulous shave! I was done in 3 passes but did another just for fun. The wedge of course delivered it's due standard of impressive. Lilac Vegetal and Lotus and Violets is a great Spring/Summer combination. BTW neither one smells very good initially but together they dry down to a very fresh flowery smell very subtle, very nice.

It has a very classy scent, the lather is very rich, and there's a nice discrete cooling sensation, which the Svoboda balm really magnifies.

Friday, July 02, 2010 Razor: Merkur Long-Handled Classic (23C) Blade: Super Iridium Brush: Vulfix VS/5 Boar Soap: Cella A/S: Generic Witch Hazel, Taylor's No. 74 Victorian Lime An amazingly smooth, BBS shave this afternoon. I normally get very smooth shaves from Iridium blades, but this one was even better than usual. I shaved in the afternoon because I wanted to cut the grass and do some other yard work first. Today was rather warm and I figured a shower and nice shave would be very welcome after working in the hot sun. I know that the usual advice is to wait at least 20 minutes to shave after getting out of bed. I wonder if the extra nice shave today was due to waiting several hours. Whatever the reason, I'm really enjoying it. And, by the way, the Taylor Victorian Lime was a perfect finish!
