I know how that goes, whenever I shave when I'm sick I usually hack my face off.

    Get well soon!

    Awww......I miss you, too. :)

On the serious serious side (the above was only serious not serious serious), I hope you feel better. :agelic13
Maybe (don't hurt me) you should lay off the menthol for awhile.

    First Le Grelot Shave

Could wait to shave with this baby when i first got it, so i rushed to shave as soon as i got in the door

Cold water splash on my face and then let the brush and sponge soak in cold water as i stropped the new blade

Strop: 3" Black Latigo 60 canvas 120 leathers
Blade: 3/4 Mirror finish Le grelot in bone scales
    Brush: Omega Boar
    Soap: DR Harris Lavender soap
    Aftershave: Very Sexy For Him

2 Passes until bbs perfection. Loving this new razor and can see it replacing all of my rest.

cold water splash again to clean off before the aftershave
then 25 canvas 50 leather passes before the blade got oiled with ballistol and put away until next time.

    Arko/TSD Signature SS hybrid
    Superior 70

4.5 blades from 4+ passes. Decent shave with no weepers. Derbys give me good shaves, but for me they do take an additional 4th pass + extra care on the neck. Today I started a new TSD soap sample (signature scent), and got the bright idea to try combining the 2 soaps in the same mug. While pouring the melted TSD into my shave mug, I added a teaspoon of shredded Arko to the melt mix. This morning I tried the new hybrid SS. It produced super lather quickly, applied nicely, and performance-wise did not disappoint my neck.

Saturday - It's the weekend! :happy069 Time for the SEs (str8s, too!)

Prep: Hot shower, strop str8 blade 25/50, hand strop SE blade, soak brush
Coffee: Home roasted Costa Rica Tarrazu, hot and black
    Strop: VB 2" Black Latigo
Soap: DR Harris Marlborough + 3 drops M Bomb
    Brush: Omega 49
    Str8: Boker Red Injun 101, 2 passes - WTG & XTG
    SE: 1912 Ever Ready
    Blade: Gem, 1 pass ATG
Post: Cold water rinse, Razor Rock, ice water splash, Brut AS + 2 drops M Bomb
    'Stache Wax: Firehouse Wacky Tacky

    Shave Rating: 4 Blades

The Boker seemed to tug (stick?) a bit, but I managed the two passes. I'm wondering if it was the soap. It seemed to really stick to the blade even when rinsing between swipes. Maybe not enough water in the mix. Still not proficient ATG with the str8, so I decided to use an SE for the third pass.

First time using an alum block (the Razor Rock) on my whole face after a shave. Not bad. Some sting, but not a real burn sensation. The ice water splash afterward felt nice.

Off on a day trip to Baltimore with my wife!

You all have a great day!!!

Ohhhhh my goodness, is my face ever frozen to the max from this combination of Palmolive Cool cream from Romania, which by the way is absolutely identical to the Italian Menthol version, and the Diana Sport balsam. This shave was so enjoyable! ;) :D

    Saturday, something new.

My first shave with a magazine repeater. I was a little nervous about this razor, mainly because of the way the blade is held in there. It's just pinched at the top, no blade stops. I had another injector standing by to finish the shave if needed, but it wasn't needed. I had a little problem figuring out how to get the blade angle right, and in the end this was more CCS than DFS, but it should get better as I get used to it.

    Pella blade
    Penworks silver tip

    Happy Saturday From Steamy Florida!

    Hot Shower
    Glycerine Pre-Shave
    Feats Of Clay Scuttle
    Rubberset Re-Knotted Badger
    Brut Lather Cream
    Schick Injector G
    N.O.S. Schick Injector Blade (1)
    Cold Water Splash
    Alum Block
    Witch Hazel
    Brut ASB
    Brut Cologne

    Four Passes = DFS.

I got some irritation happening, but it is not from the shave. Before I got into wet shaving, I put some Nair on my face so I would not have to shave as much. BIG mistake! I have been living with chemical burn under my lower lips for about a year now, it must be permanent damage.
