    Saturday:

    Large Horsehair Barbershop
    Super Speed/Sharp day 6
Proraso Green Crema Pre/Dopo Barba :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Proraso Green SS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Anherb AS Conditioner :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
Aqua Velva Ice Blue AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

It took a lot of deciding on what to use this morning, because I must have changed my mind at least five times before I finally selected the Proraso stuff, but I'm happy I did. The pre/after shave cream and soap delivered very well on the cooling and refreshing feeling, the Anherb conditioner felt so cold and soothing, and the Aqua Velva completed the freezing very nicely. Time to go for a haircut and make my barber eat his heart out when he sees how BBS I am! ;) :D

    Saturday

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap
    Soap: Maggard Fougere Sauvage
Razor: Gillette Super Speed Red Tip
    Blade: Gillette Platinum (6)
    Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip 22mmx48mm
    Aftershave: Fine Platinum

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

My 2nd shave with the Maggard Fougere Sauvage. The FS soap produces a great slick, cushioning lather after swirling my brush for about 15 seconds. Combined with the Fougere Sauvage, my 6th shave with the Gillette Platinum in the Red tip was excellent: close, still smooth, and nick free. I finished up with Fine Platinum.

    Darn Fine Fougère Shave
Today I used Maggard Fougère as part of the R&B event. It's my only soap of this type, unless you count Tabac. I like the subtle woodsy scent of this soap, and the lather is top notch. The revelation last week has been the HTGAM aftershave tonic. This potion leaves my face feeling smooth and soft without being over moisturized. It's perfect for warmer weather. I may put a balm on over it in winter.
Every time I return to my SC101 I am rewarded with a great shave. I think the cure for RAD for me is to shave with something else once in a while, then enjoy the 101. Right now I don't want to shave with anything else. I've used it over one hundred times now, and I'm not tired of it.

    Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol
    Soap: Maggard Fougère
    Brush: Plisson Synthetic
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Personna lab blue (2)
    AS: HTGAM Bay Rum Tonic

    Saturday 7/5/14

    Prep: Gaia face scrub
    Oil: Shave Secret
Brush: 20mm Whipped dog set deep
    Scuttle Georgetown Pottery
Razor: slim adjustable set to 5
    Blade: Feather
    soap:

    MDC Fougere (Martin de Candre)
    with a touch of
    TOBS Lavender
    and a shot of
    Glycerin

    Post: Alum sprayed on
    Witch Hazel: Generic unscented
    AS: None

This was the last of my sample of MDC Fougere. I decided to make an uber-lather, mixing in some TOBS Lavender and glycerin. Yes, MDC does play well with others. This was a great 4 pass shave.

After 5 shaves, I can confidently say that MDC Fougere is a very nice soap capable of producing a great lather. I have not been using a moisturizing aftershave for the last couple of days because I wanted to check out the moisturizing effects of MDC. It is one of the most moisturizing soaps I have tried. I am not crazy about the Fougere scent, but it was light enough to not affect the shaves. Overall, I give it a 10 out of 10.

I hope you find it as enjoyable as I did. I'm going off schedule and using two creams in a row when I try the Citrus Basil this morning. It would normally be Crabtree & Evelyn Mysore Sandlewood Soap.
