today's shave was a four pass affair.I started with the hd, it had a blade in it. the first pass told me it ess not up to par. so I ditched it in leu of a new one. I've got to get a better system to manage blades better. memory just is not cutting it. four passes did get me the bbs today.I finished with the last of my escape for men. I think this was the first time they( cologne and after shave) finished at the same time.

Saturday was a travel day to Minneapolis and up too early and too long of a day so; no shave. :(
This mornings (Sundays) shave will be the same for the rest of the stay. (I miss the variety of razor selections and products when on the road but, the Old Type is an outstanding razor for the travel shave.) I hope all had a great weekend. The rest of the week may be too busy to post and it will be "same old - same old" for me the rest of the week but, I check in at night to see what's happening. Take care all! ;)

No Pic because I don't have a picture of this combination and don't have time to take one here. :(

I'd loaded the G yesterday with a new blade but did so while distracted. I begin shaving this morning...it's sharp but rough, not at all smooth. I think, "Man, this must have pulled a bad Gem stainless." After four passes the irritation was too much ans I called it off at DFS+. Finally I open the head to find one of those Gem blued carbon blades. The soap, which is new to me, may have had something to do with it too, I dunno.

So DFS+, but coconut oil has soothed things a bit.

    SUNDAY
The rare DE shave this morning. Quick, easy—and with satisfying results.
Went 'Old Timey' with both the vintage Barber shop scents of both the XXX and the Neumann balm.
I suppose I should have used a vintage razor to be consistent…..oh well. Still a great shave!

    Have a blessed Sunday, everyone!

This time I didn't use the Ever Ready. Straight only, 1 pass WTG. This time I went further from merely my sideburns and into the rest of my face including chin. No cuts and absolutely no irritation but it wasn't a very close shave...Just like my Ever Ready the thick blade and auditory feedback lets me know exactly what it is doing so I haven't gotten cut yet.

Very close shave today with just the slightest hint of irritation. No alum necessary but I could feel the alcohol in the aftershave.
Must be time for a Sunday afternoon nap. I'm don't feel like reading everyone else's shaves, taking a picture of my own, or doing the rest of my weekend chores.
I think I need to go back to work tomorrow to rest up from the holiday weekend.
