    Ich stimme mit Dir überein. Eine Rasur mit dieser Seife ist immer gut! (I agree with you. A shave with this soap is always good!) ;)

    I've been exploring some new soaps which I've received recently, and this Ogallala bay rum stuff is awesome. It lathers so easily and rich, and it's a delightfully-scented soap as well. The Pinaud Bay Rum aftershave stung like hell for a few seconds, but then it felt wonderful, and the 444 made my skin feel like it had an ice block on it. What a great shave! ;) :D

    Yep...the E is still really aggressive. The shave went well, I love the soap! I am heading out of town tonight on an overnight camp so I wanted something a little more aggressive, so the shave will last longer.

    Have a great weekend everyone!

    First time I used QED soap. While shaving the scent is quite strong, but it dissipates soon afterwards. SWMBO likes the scent, it lathers up great, so I ain't complaining! :)
    Thanks Luke!

    Have a great weekend!

    Pre-shave: Hot shower
    Soap: De Vergulde Hand Extra Fris
    Brush: Made-Rite re-knotted 22mm UK Boar
    Razor: Campbell straight, Schick G1
    Blade: Schick
    Post-shave: warm water rinse, cold water rinse, alum block, cold water rinse, witch hazel
    A/S: Boosters Lilac, RazoRock La Famiglia Don Marco A/S Balm
    Moisturizer: L'Oreal Men's Expert Vita Lift w/ SFP 15

    Today's shave was a bit of an experiment. I have been trying my hand at honing and last night I honed my Campbell straight to an edge better than I have been able to do before. It passed the HHT with a little encouragement (which I know doesn't mean that much, but I know what it means to me because I've done it after being professionally honed). Anyway, this morning I wanted to give it a go and then use my injector for touch ups or to step in in case the straight wasn't doing well. The straight shave could have been better and I probably would have been alright at that, but I said, "this is injector week. I have to use my injector". So I did one more ATG pass with the G1 and ended up with a DFS. I also ended up with a little redness from the not sharp enough straight.:(. That is why I went with the A/S, A/S Balm, and moisturizer. I still feel like I had a pretty good shave, though. Have a great day everyone!!

    Day three of the FaTip Round Deux

    Unlike yesterday's shave, there was zero, zilch, nada problems with todays shave. In fact, it went wonderfully well. The first pass I had a DFS that was better than any cartridge razor. If I did not like to facerbate so much, I would have stopped there, but I continued. Two passes, very minor touch ups, and I have a BBS to die for.

    I LOVE the FaTip.

    Pre: MRGLO, Family Dollar Deep Cleansing Skin Cream
    Uberlather: VDH, C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream, three drops of glycerin
    Brush: Semogue 1460 Natural Boar Bristle
    Razor: Tradere Open Comb Safety Razor
    Blade: Super-Max Super Platinum
    Post: Alum, Dickinson’s Witch Hazel
    A/S: Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum

    Since the superlather went well the other day, I decided today to try an uberlather. I put a tiny dab, about the size of a pea, of C.O. Bigelow Shave Cream and three drops of glycerin in my lathering bowl. Then I loaded the brush with VDH soap and proceeded to make the lather in the bowl. I added water by dipping the tip of the brush into the water a few times, after a couple of minutes I had enough lather to make about eight or nine passes. Next time I will use half the product since I need enough for only three passes. The lather was thick and had terrific glide.
    The Tradere was, as usual, wonderful to use and gave me a near BBS shave. The more experience I have with using it, the better each shave becomes.

    ~~~TODAY'S SHOWER AND SHAVE~~~
    Each day starts with a hot shower, soap choice Amber Bath, oatmeal bar.
    The rookie Semogue OC, from Portugal was called up for lather duties today.
    The rookie did an impressive job lathering on its first at bat. Soap choice today was a mystery brand.
    Razor choice for today's shave a Gillette Super Adjustable, with a Bolazno blade.
    Excellent lather and great razor /blade combo, three comfortable passes. Splashes of cold water, facial toning with RazoRock Alum. To finish a great shave
    Ogalla Bay Rum.
    :wave:were excited about the rookie joining the den. To honor the rookie and the great job of lathering it did.
    Gave this DFS a *10*
    Everyone have a great weekend!
