The 'Global Warming' Physicists all around the world have been stumped...They can't figure why all their calculations are thrown off by a cool air mass always coming from Montreal.....I think we here at the Den know whos causing all that cool mentholated air around Montreal...:happy097:

    Friday

Prep: Hot shower, soak brush, AoS pre-shave oil
CD: The Essence of Lightning Hopkins, disc 2
Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Malawi Mapanga AA, BLACK
    Soap: TSD Coffee
    Brush: Omega 49
    Injector: Schick E model
Blade: Schick, day 5, 3+ passes
Post: Cold water rinse, ice water splash, Dickenson's WH + 2 drops M Bomb, Old Spice cologne
    'Stache Wax: Steve's Own

This blade is pretty much done. Five 3-pass shaves. Not bad. It'll hold out for a few more Saturday str8 touch-ups, though. See below.

Saturday - it's the weekend! :happy069:Time for the SEs!!

Prep: Strop str8, hot shower, soak brush, TSD ISZ PSB
    Strop: VB 2" black latigo/linen
CD: Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble ~ The Sky is Crying
Coffee: Home roasted, fresh ground Malawi Mapanga AA, BLACK
    Soap: TSD English Fern
    Brush: Semogue 2000
    Str8: Dovo Astrala "A&F", 3 passes
SE: Schick injector E model, touch up
Post: Cold water rinse, RazoRock rub down, ice water splash, Pinaud Clubman
    'Stache Wax: Firehouse Wacky Tacky

Still just using the str8 with my right hand. Still getting great shaves without bloodshed!

As for the "A&F", my wife had "Always & Forever" engraved on the blade and gave me the razor for a Christmas present. "Always and Forever" was played at our wedding 30 years ago, and I still write it on all notes and cards I give her.

I know, I know. I'm a hopeless romantic. But my wife loves it!

    Saturday's Shave
    Arko Shave Stick/Arko Extra-Sensitive SC
    1938 Gillette Senator/Perma-Sharp Super D1
    Arko Aqua AS/Rebul Lavanda Colonia

I was looking forward to finishing 'Injector Week' with my beloved Schick Hydro-magic....But last night I read Gary's lastest installment of 'Two Brothers' and I just had to break out my Gillette Senator for today's wonderful shave....

It's not my fault...I put all the blame on Gary for creating such an engaging serial...and for making a great shaver like the Senator, such a lovable character in his continuing saga... especially in this 15th segment....If you haven't read it yet, check it out...:)

I used these products for two reasons. One, it's injector week so hence the injector. Two, the MEM olive and Sea of Spa products are my wife's ABSOLUTE favorite products. So since it's our anniversary I went with what my wife loves the most! :)

Tunes - Mike Ness; Cheating at Solitaire
Hot Shower + Noxema Original Deep Cleansing Cream
    Proraso Green Soap
    'lil Pure Badger
    Proraso Pre-Shave
Gem 1912 w/ Gem SS blade
    Warm + Cold Water Rinse
    Nivea Anti-irritation ASB

45 minutes of bliss and a DFS :D My first run with the Gem was kinda iffy so I've been avoiding it. I noticed it was SE week, and I have lotsa time this morning, so I thught what the heck. I was super slow, super careful, paying close attention to the blade angle and ended up with a fantastic shave. What a great way to start the weekend! The Gem 1912 is definitely a razor I'll be pulling out for my long zen weekend morning shaves.
