    Prep: Cold water rinse
Lather: Mike's Natural Soap O/C/BP - ultra face lather
    Brush: Muhle Black Fibre
    Razor: Sledgehammer Slant
    Blade: Rapira (3); 3 passes
    Post: Cold water rinse

Wow, Mike, you sure do make a great soap! Thank you! This soap is the first one (since I started testing) to leave my face as smooth and soft as the La Famiglia soaps do. There still is something different about the feel that I can't put my finger on, but I really am pleased with both. The DVH was still good in this category, but not exceptional like Mike's and LaFam.

I LOVE IT!!! It was my first time trying it. It was very smooth and had plenty of cushion. I am so glad I bought it. I am new to DE shaving so every shave I am trying out different soaps and/or creams and my experience is relatively limited... but so far, it is my favorite cream!

Day two of the FaTip Round Deux

I am not sure if it was the additional weight of the handle, but the FaTip felt much more aggressive today, almost R41 aggressive. Was able to attain BBS is two passes, but did suffer one weeper on jawline.

Overall was a very good shave, but I think I shall use this with just the stock handle instead of trying to increase the weight.

    Friday (Wishful thinking) Thursday

    Warm shower
    VDH boar
    Arko Extra Sensitive SC
Merkur 23c w/ Feather New Hi Stainless
    Dickinson Witch Hazel
    Lubriderm Men's 3 in 1
    Master Bay Rum

DFS++ by means of wtg, xtg, atg. Warm water rinse between passes, cold after witch hazel. Missing my Cetaphil Gentle ... will be shopping later.

Thought I'd give the Arko ES a try again. Had struggled previously for close shaves with the Arko creams. Pulled all the stops out by throwing the Feather :yoda2into the equation ... resulting in a respectably close shave!

Not bad ... not bad at all.

The last few days I was trying a new balm to me which is the Barbasol along with the matching splash that I've had for a couple of years now but didn't use. They suck compared to Aqua Velva and Afta.

    Good morning.

A quick (but not dirty) shave today:

Martin de Candre ‘Savon de Marseille’ face wash
    Logona Mann shave cream
Mühle Basic Nr. 02 shave brush with Silver Tip Fibre
Gillette Sensor Excel II (4. or 5. shave on the blade, actually I have no clue…)
    D.R. Harris Arlington after shave
Back to a DE tomorrow, wasn't in the mood for it today as my skin was still eying the Vision suspiciously following yesterday's shave...

    BBS!

I'm definitely enjoying this Injector razor! I can see why some folks use these most or all of the time.

This is the fourth night in a row using Ogallala Bay Rum. I was thinking I would get rid of it, but I've learned I need to use a lot of soap, and good amount of water to get it to work. Once I do that, I get very nice results. I think I'll keep this stuff. I won't use it often, but when I crave bay rum, I'll grab this.
