I took the razor back to the hones for freshening up after what seemed like a very long time since I last honed the razor, it was lightly passed over the 8K then 12K and as usual the razor was ready for stropping after 50 linen 50 suede the finally 50 cordovan the razor was effortlessly topping hairs as it moved slightly above my arm. PS I had forgotten how sharp this razor could be fantastic shave so smooth a so close.

    Eye opener
I really needed a wake me up this morning after a late night at graduation and still needing to get up at 5:30 am.
I reached for Synergy Frost_Byte and I was rewarded with a superb shave. My face still feels cool and is smooth and comfortable. The Lather Monster easily made frozen yogurt that coddled my face and woke me up at the same time. My SC101 cut down my stubble like a warm razor through kokum butter, and I finished the shave with Fine Platinum and a slap of Kiehl's Facial Fuel for good measure. I'm ready to go.

    Prep: RR/HTGAM lime menthol
    Soap: HTGAM Synergy Frost_Byte
    Brush: HIS Lather Monster
    Razor: iKon ShaveCraft 101
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue
AS: Fine Platinum, Kiehl's Facial Fuel

What's the best set-up for a cool, rainy day for me? One of the most frigid soaps on the market!!!!! The Glacial Obsidian is not for anyone who cannot handle intense menthol because the sensation wallops you as soon as your brush makes contact with your face, and gets stronger and stronger. The Anherb conditioner is another face-freezer with perfect skincare and although my wife hates the scent of the Floid Classic, I love it. My BBS mission was once again accomplished very enjoyably. ;) :D

    Thursday:
hot shower w/British Sterling scented body wash
    ShaveSecret PSO
    Gillette Aristocrat 2 passes
    Gillette Wilkinson (2)
    Semogue Owners Club badger
    Provence Sante Verlaine soap
    Thayers unscented w/aloe
    British Sterling AS

Almost didn't shave today since I just shaved yesterday and was pressed for time but I wanted to see if I could coax any better lather from the Provence Sante after yesterday's tip from @markjnewcomb. I chose my Semogue and soaked the puck while I showered but the clock was hounding me so I ended up doing two furious passes which didn't give the lather any time to dissapate even if it was considering the thought.
I will say that I was thinking about the feel of my new Aristocrat and marvelling at what a fine shaver it is and how much I enjoy this hobby that makes a four dollar find worth so much more.

    THURSDAY
Early morn shave (4:30am) with the Böker; 3 quiet passes as I enjoyed a hot 'wake-up' cup of Peet's coffee.
There's something near-meditative about this peaceful morning ritual I love. A wonderful way to start the day.

    Have a blessed Thursday, everyone!

    SOTD June 12

    Prep: hot shower
    Razor: WW2 Gillette Tech
    Blade: Gillette Blue (day 3)
    Brush: Vie-Long
    Cream: MusgoReal Classic
Passes: 2 (WTG, XTG) plus touch ups
    Post:Dove Men hydrate+

Too much water left in the brush when I went to start making my lather. I had to work at it a little longer to get something useful but man did I get lots of lather! It was thinner than I like but there was no negative effect on performance.

The Gillette Blue blade seems to be fading. I'll get another shave out of this blade, but I don't think I'd want to go more than that.

    Thor's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, Neurogena Deep Cleaning Gentle Scrub, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Beeline Boar
Soap: Ogallala Bay Rum & Sandalwood Shave Stick
    Razor: FaTip Piccolo
    Blade: Baili (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG (1, 2)
Post: Cold water splash, Bloc Osma alum, Dickinson's WH, Captain's Choice Cat o' Nine Tails

In some ways, I think the Baili performed better in the more aggressive FaTip than the milder Merkur 41c, as there was less tugging that I could attribute to the blade itself. In other ways, it was not a fair test, as the lather was so poor on my first pass that my face looked like I was trying to shave with butter. Thanks (I think) to that poor lather, I caught a couple of weepers.

Pre: Maggard Razors PSO – Grapefruit
    Brush: Shea Moisture Synthetic
    Soap: Musso Real Lime Basil
    Razor: Frankentech (Muhle handle)
    Blade: PolSilver IR (3)
Splash: Shea Moisture Shave Tea Tree Herbal AS Elixir
    Post: Nivea Sensitive AS
After: Master Well Bay Rum & Pacific Shaving Moisturizer

A decent CCS. I think I pushed the PolSilver a shave too far with this 3rd shave. Some tugging. As such I didn’t chase the BBS. Ended up with one tiny weeper. This was also the last of my Musso sample. Loved the lather this makes but never really noted the scent much. I’ll end up trying more Musso though. I hate to say it, but I’m starting to think my Super Speeds shave better than my Tech. Not by much but enough so I notice it. More research is needed!

Oh yeah, I've started a blog! "That Shave Life" :eatdrink047:
