    Gillette Red Tip
    Personna Lab Blue
    SOC Boar
    Cella
    Floid Blue

Inaugural shave for the Red Tip for me and WHOAH NELLY. I've never had this comfortable of a shave. Didn't feel like I had a blade in it until I rinsed my touch up pass and felt smooth. Far better for me than my Aristocrat!

    Wow Friday 13th is over.
First time with my 1960 Gillette Fat Boy!

    Coffee: Costa Rican fresh ground
Pre-shave: Tree Hut Shea Sugar scrub
Razor: 1960 Gillette Fat Boy (2)
    Blade: Super-Max Super Platinum
    Shave soap: Cella (can't stop)
    Post: T.N. Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Jack Black Cooling Gel
    After shave: Armani Mania

The FB on 2 is great on my neck ATG. Three passes WTG XTG both ways on my face WTG XTG ATG on my neck. Cella is still the best for me after washing with the Tree Hut Shea, very slick. I got the FB because it is about the same size as my Merkur HD and I plan on trying different numbers on my neck to get it just right on my quest for even better results. The FB is now my #1.

Thanks. It's actually a DLC coating with a rubber inset in the middle of the handle. But I suppose flat black paint would work nearly as well. ;)

Be my welcome guest - however I should rephrase my statement. There are certain items I won't part with, such as my Noxzema tubes as well as certain other soaps and creams! ;)

    Razor-'68 Lady Gillette
    Blade-Derby Extra(3)
    Post-Aqua Velva Musk AS

Excellent shave. The Derby started out tuggy and grabby, but I guess the third time's the charm, as it was nice and smooth, and gave a close, comfortable shave with very little irritation.
The VdH Select surprised me with loads of nice, fat lather. Literally exploded out of the bowl. The pic was taken after a three pass shave. Loads of lather left. The Semogue did not hurt, either. I spent an hour today burning through that puck of VdH Select, breaking it in. Very nice.
    Have a great shave, everyone!

I went for a nice lazy shave this morning, and that's exactly what I got. A simple, clean two pass DFS. I have had better shaves, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with today's shave.

How do you like this Fougere fragrance to others you may have tried?

The B&M fougere soaps are the only ones I've tried. This is the one and only run of the soap. Very nice scent. Great yogurty lather. The scent doesn't last long on the skin. I like fougere or green scents in aftershave and colognes as well. Alpa Fougere and Yardley Black Label are my favorite so far. I'm always on the search for fougere. Any recommendations?

So far I have only tried QCS and MdcC versions and of those two I prefer MdC but I think of perfume when I use it. It has a grass/greenish aroma but I also pickup Lavender and some other floral notes.
I honestly do not know what a fougere soap is suppose to smell like. All I know is fern like aroma and only thing I can relate to as FERN Aroma is the coastal area in Northern CA where we use to hunt. The Redwood forests along the coastal area are thick with trees, ferns, moss, lot of redwood bark on the ground and smells of musty , heavy greenery aroma and redwood bark. I know it sounds weird or to some awful but it all comes together I think because of the fog mingling with the ecosystem. Quite refreshing actually and I do miss walking along the redwoods taking it all in.

Now tomorrow I will be trying a Limited Edition Fougere from Tiki Soaps and to me this is what I think of when I think Fern like smell. This one reminds me of those days walking through the forest at daybreak trying to track down a deer or bear. It smells awesome in the tin and cant wait to lather up this puck as I have four other of her soaps and the fragrance from those all exploded once you added water. Expect this one to do the same and already know I will be ordering another puck before she sells out.
