I adore the alligator, but think Tiger makes a better blade and box.

Now, Jeff, I've obviously noted by now you use Lubiderm unscented as your facial moisturizer. Intrigued, I looked at the ingredients stack while shopping today and honestly I think you could do better.

I've tried every moisturizer out there and CeraVe Lotion (which sells for 12 USD for 12 oz at drugstores/supermarkets here) is the best product out there. It's intended for full-body use but I only use it on my face, opting for something heavier for my bod.

The lotion - not be mistaken for the cream - absorbs rapidly, leaving no greasy residue whatsoever. It's truly oil-free. (Many companies [take Neutrogena with their "Oil-Free Moisture Line"] substitute petrolatum, technically a wax - but something many-fold shinier and greasier than mineral oil in your Lubiderm - so that they can cite they're oil-free, which is attractive to buyers.)

For facial miniaturization there is beating CeraVe lotion, and you deserve the best, Habibi.

I don't know what it is about this Proraso Green soap, but every time I use it, I get irritations. The Anherb conditioner fixed me up very quickly, so that saved the shave for me.

@Kaveh--I appreciate the advice, buddy, and I'll try to get that stuff.

Got a really nice shave today, wonder what I did right??

 

The past couple days I didn't post. Not because I didn't shave, or I forgot, but I did something I rarely do. I used the same setup 3 days in a row.
I was really enjoying the Fasan slant, and since I was continuing with that, I kept the TSD Neroli going too. Changed it up again today.

I actually loaded my brush with some Trader Joes Honey Mango that I got in a trade to start the shave, attempted to lather, then read the instructions (apply a thin transparent layer to face) and rinsed my brush and picked up the Tabac.

I hadn't used a Silver Star for a few months. It was smoother than I remember and just a hair less sharp (still the closest thing to a feather I've tried). Perhaps that's just my technique being perfected? Really, the only technique change I've made in the last 5 months is that I've started making my strokes a little faster, which allow me to always use NO pressure without getting any drag on almost every blade. Also, love that TSD signature scent :drool

Not quite as good as yesterday, but still a great shave. The late 70s-early 80s NOS Gillette blades in the Red Tip have proven to be the optimal combination for me.
