Got some samples in from The Shave Den Store in the mail yesterday. Went with a Subzero shave today and am quite happy with the soap. It lathered, lubricated, and protected well. I will certainly have to order full sizes of the soap and A/S later.

Don't ask me why, cuz I couldn't really say, but I love me some Florida Water Cologne. All those other wonderful scents out there and I prefer a $4.00 one from the local drugstore. Go figure.

Skipped the shower this morning, so my prep was a little off. Still a DFS. I could probably get a 6th or 7th day out of this blade, but I've still got a few 7 o'clocks left to try out.

 

After the usual 1-2 minute hot towel prep:

First time using this blade (thanks Brian), and it was sorta interesting. It's been a loooong time since last trying a new blade in my daily shaver.....I've been using feathers mostly now. This Kai blade is one I wouldn't use again, but l'm glad to have tried it.

Well, my shave today was a little uncomfortable because of the pulling from this blade. Yeah, it just didn't cut through my whiskers like I was hoping, but you never know. Heh, they were also louder than usual, which was interesting. I had to go over spots more to try and mop up during my various passes, but did finally end up with a close shave.

My face feels a little tight from all the extra strokes, but no weepers or redness anywhere. Pretty much BBS results, but it took a while to get there........

Pretty strightforward WTG pass with the Wald Solingen, a slight nick on the chin and one low on the neck...to be expected...an occasional stutter and subsequent angle adjustment...second and third pass with the Tech, a combo splash of Thayers and Pinaud (Pinaud needs to be diluted IMHO) and a finish with the Ogallala (which really stung!!).
