Lime Skinfood Preshave: lathered on the TOBS Rose, hot towel on face and neck for for two minutes, wiped of excess soap. Lathered again for my usual four pass shave. BBS, ohhhh soooo smoooooth!

I'll continue to use it every now and then just because I like the vintage vibe. From a look at some of the other posts, not only do we have "Menthol Monday", but it seems we now have "Frigid Fridays"!

Grandpa Shave Friday: Vulfix 247 pure badger Williams SS Gillette Super Adjustable (9) Personna (day5) Witch Hazel CVS Old Spice Getting some good results with the new (to me) technique on the Williams. This blade seems to be lasting forever on the Super Adjustable. Maybe because I haven't been doing as many passes due to lack of time this week. Sorry no photo, this was a one pass and out the door.
Barber Shave Today Today I finally went to Frank, my Italian Barber for a real barber shave. It was outstanding. He gave me some good tips-says I'm putting too much pressure on my neck-advises against going for BBS on neck. He used Master soap, a Schick Injector straight edge and Lucky Tiger Balm. He used some conditioner before he did anything but I'm not sure what it was. I think I had about 10 hot towels-one or two before each step. I've got more pics in my album and on a separate post, here's a small sample.
Congrats Danny, it sounds and looks like you had a great time! Shave Of The Day - March 26th Hot Shower Burma Shave Boar Brush Vintage Tallow Soap Feathershave S/E [*]Modified Gem Blade - Day 2 [*]TSD A/S -4711 Type Scent [*] Changed up my grip, and payed even closer attention to technique with the Feathershave resulted in another very, very close shave. Still the loudest razor I have ever shaved with! Because of the Gem S/E blade without the spine on the back, and only two small contact points with the razor frame, means the blade absolutely rings when in use.
Saturday Re-knotted EverReady best badger Ogallala Bay Rum soap Ever Ready 1924 razor with Walgreens Gem Personna blade. Another DFS. This style of razor works just about as well for me as a Gem 1912. This is actually my second razor of this style; I just moved the blade to it this morning because I wanted to try them both.
Saturday: Omega Wooden Handle Goodfella/Elios day 2 Williams Menthol-SC :love008 :freezing Lubriderm unscented moisturizer Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue-AS I am so addicted to menthol, that it's unbelieveable. I absolutely love this Williams cream, because the scent is wonderful, the lather is so thick and easy to create, and the cooling effect is fantastic.

Hot Shower Vitamin E Oil Pre-shave Frederick Reynolds Chopper Semogue 1305 Arko Shave Soap/Vitamin E Oil Mentholated WH Murray and Lanman's Florida Water Now this was a proper BBS shave! Two passes (WTG and XTG) with the soap and a third touch up pass with the vitamin E oil. Definitely a two day shave, I probably won't need to shave tomorrow but I will anyway. This vitamin E oil makes a bit of a mess but is very nice as either a pre-shave or a soap replacement for a touch up pass (much easier to see rough spots). Lynrd Skynrd, .38 Special and The Outlaws provided tunes making Florida Water the obvious choice for post shave fragrance.

You my good Sir, have some totally amazing straight razors. I've never seen one of your razors that wasn't impressive. If I may ask, how many in your current fleet? Roll Tide indeed!
