    • Godrej Deluxe Lather
    • Fatboy (4)

    • Anherb Conditioner

Results: Nice and quick 2 pass (WTG, XTG). DFS. :happy088

(I think yesterday I over did it between trying 2 different straights, plus going BBS afterwords. No burn, but throughout the night and this morning I was noticing more and more irritation as the stubble grew back.)

      [*]Cream: TSD Gardenia

[*]Result: A typical BBS shave with a new blade. Quick, simple and smooth. Did get a nick, not paying attention with the first stroke of the raise for this shave. I am getting to love the GEMs more and more. Wife loves the Old Spice Type scent and gave me a big hug, kiss and thank you.

    This Monday

Today I used several unique items that I just had to share with you.
If it wasn't for the after shave splash, this would have been an All-Portuguese shaving set, well, the razor is not Portuguese either, its German-Brazilian, I'll explain in detail:

Shaving Brush: Semogue Excelsior Genuine Buffalo Horn Finest Silvertip Badger Hair

Shaving Soap: A vintage shaving soap powder by Claus Porto, Ach. Brito. That's right, I managed to get some very rare powder from the very own Ach. Brito, the same company that makes Musgo Real and Lavanda. I don't know how many years does this thing has, but it was nicely closed and compact, so I guess it was still usable. I sprinkled some powder into the tin and with a moist brush I started swirling, soon after, the lather was growing. Not as much cushioning as MR or Lavanda, but still nice, though, after all, it's a very rare shaving soap powder that hasn't been made for many years now.

Straight Razor: A NOS Gebruder Weyersberg "Corneta" 5016 5/8 full hollow. This is rare item too. It's very similar to a Kirschbaum - very light and sharp, feels almost like a shavette.

    Alum Block: 444 AB

After Shave: Aqua Velva mixed with 444 balm

    Hi Jeff,

    Translating from Portuguese, it's:

    "Shaving Soap Powder"
    "Fine Quality"

from Claus Porto, Ach. Brito, the same company that makes Musgo Real and Lavanda.
I don't know how old is this package, but it looks like it has some decades. Since it was nicely package with thick plastic, I figure that the powder should still be OK and it was. I'll try to find out its age.

    '51 Superspeed w/Dorco 301(6)
    Edwin Jagger BBB
    Speick sc
    Thayers Original Witch Hazel w/aloe

It feels like the Dorco has run it's course, but the Speick provided a great lubricating base for three passes and a touch up yielding a BBS that feels terrific.
