Read a favorable review of Racer blades over at R&B, so I figured I would try the one I had. I concur that these are very good blades (at least based on the one shave so far).

Result: More comfortable with the straight today, but still absolutely no technique built up yet. Some burn, I probably should have skipped the final WTG pass with the Fatboy. Got a really nice lather with the boar and Valobra soap. Thanks JimR for the sample!!!

  Result: Did it again. Did not tighten the doors on the SS tight enough. Sure enough they worked their way a bit loose and allowed the blade gap to widen and I got a bit larger nick in two places on my neck. Bled like crazy but a bit of styptic stopped the bleeding. As for the shave itself, once I got the TTO doors tight all went well and I got a nice BBS shave as a result.
