Oh Dodi, don't worry. My face will heal soon. The one thing I liked was how cooling it was. You did not fail me, the Godrej failed me.

 

I just wished they still made it as I haven't had any in the longest time. That stuff is even better than Italian Palmolive.

 

I find the Godrej Menthol and Palmolive Menthol from Italy or the Balkans to be pretty well equal in the cooling and other performance.

Another menthol bombardment which resulted in a great shave - the Egyptian version of Ingram lathers so richly and easily, with a bone-chilling cooling effect. The Axe Chilled stuff is a definite keeper for me now, and soon I'll need some more Alt Innsbruck - the bottle's almost empty. Sorry, no pics this morning.

Wow, absolutely a DFS, no nicks, skin tight, moisurized and lookin' good! With the new injector blade, this shave was much smoother than with the vintage blade. I think I'm getting the hang of using the injector. I might be crazy, but every time I pick up one of the injector razors, I think I hear a collective sigh from my DE's. Here's hoping they don't mutiny!

Today I achieved my first BBS! I’ve never felt the place between my Adam’s apple and chin so smooth and without stubble in every direction. My face feels so cool like an early spring morning with a slight breeze blowing on it. Wow. This morning I used my pre-shave prosaso cream, and hydrated my face with much more water than I usually use between each pass. It was a three pass shave with touch ups on my neck and cheeks. The extra hydration helped prevent razor burn as I used the buffing technique, which I think I finally did right. Using my Gold Gillette Tech and Derby blade (2nd day use) I endeavored to use no pressure, and took my time. The refreshing splash of Captain’s Choice Bay Rum was my reward for such a good shave! It seems like the Derby’s second day of use is always the best. I can’t wait to try sharper blades in the near future. I was so tempted to jump to my new Edwin Jagger DE89 but I thought I should stick with my present set-up and work on my technique. This seems to be paying off well!
