SoS: March 13, 2017 - March 19, 2017

This is one of my oldest razors but in lovely shape. It's an ivory scaled Lund. It has a wonderful grip with the thumb notch and some really tight and very tactile jimps on the inside of that. Another very close, face-rubbing worthy shave.

This is my fifth shave with the Böker, and I am getting better. The Old Spice Lime Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #145 synthetic brush. I did two passes the H. Böker 5/8, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Back to the pain stick tonight with lather courtesy of Sweeney Todd and the JR46. I'm beginning to think I have this synthetic figured out and it's a great knot. Quick way to get more lather than I can use in two shaves. The Route 66 produced a fantastic thick and slick lather that left my face feeling great as well.

Two passes with the Kai and the Captain blade. Very nice feel and finish, though the alum is pretty hot. Third day with an aggressive razor and I think my face is saying enough. I'll back off for a couple of days with something a bit less hazardous for my health. However, the finish was a very nice DFS and once the alum calmed down the feel is nice from the Lanolin.

Hope you have a great weekend! Warming up a bit here and SWMBO is tearing the door off waiting to get outside and start the garden. That's why it's safer for me to work the hours I do.

3/17 is a very special day for my family. We are of Irish decent and we enjoy the St. Patrick's day parade in our city each year (which is one if the largest in the U.S.)
It is also our anniversary. In 2017, we celebrated 11 years. My SOTD pic is slightly late for this reason.

I Had an Early Mornung Shave with My Friodur 7/8th Finished on My Arkie Translucent Stone..The Friodur Took a Very Keen & Smooth Edge & is a Very Comfortable Shaver..I Had a Cracking Close Shave this Morning..
