    SE SOTD - Gem 1912

    This was my first shave with the Gem 1912 I won in the @PickledNorthern PIF. I've used a Treet SE and a Star SE before on a limited basis and didn't like either of them too much. The 1912 was, by far, more comfortable and easy to use. Don't know if it's the razor or my abilities so I'll chalk it up to the razor. I was a little aggressive because I was enjoying the razor and got a bit cocky and ended it with a little irritation, but otherwise I've got a really nice DFS.

    40's Rocket w/Astra SP blade
    Witch hazel rinse followed by Nivea Cooling ASB finishing w/Floid Vigoroso aftershave
    2-passes for a comfortable DFS!

    BBS and very comfortable thanks to the Sottozero soap lathered beautifully by my Plissoft brush. The menthol effect is mild, but nice and the Amici aftershave went on nice and cool with such a lovely scent. I should be getting my new Tcheon Fung Sing Bergamotto Neroli SS, my Aquatico SS and my Don Donato AS today - the parcel is at our post office! :happy088: :happy088:

    Soap: Los Angeles Shaving Soap-Woody Lavender
    Razor: Gillette Slim
    Blade: Gillette 70’s “Spoiler” Super Stainless (1)
    Brush: Thater Silvertip-26mmx55mm
    Aftershave: Fine Platinum

    WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

    LASS Woody Lavender today. 20 seconds to load the Thater Silvertip. Easy, thick, slick, lather. I loaded a new Gillette 70’s “Spoiler” in the Slim. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Fine Platinum.

    Such a wonderfully smooth, fast & efficient razor! Slick 66 lather made for a very quick 3-pass shave.

    Cade SS
    SRE Synthetic brush
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Colorado Sage Cologne

    This was not good. It seems the Bunny did not like my Personna blade at all. Pulling/tugging/uncomfortable. Blame it on the blade since the Schick's worked so well. Perhaps I damaged the blade loading it somehow. Will try another Personna tomorrow. Do like the Cade SS though, smells great and gives me a nice lather. Now go enjoy your day folks
