As a fellow motorcyclist, I can certainly appreciate everything you are going through. I hope you are feeling better soon and are able to return to riding if you wish.

Having finished up my vintage Williams yesterday, it was time to choose a new soap.
I chose DRH Windsor, one of the first soaps I ever purchased when I returned to wet shaving. Terrific scent; very British.
Repeated the '47 Super Speed and Polsilver. Two terrific choices.
    Have a great day!

You might want to give a GSB a shot. For me they were sharper then the Rapira Platinum Lux and amazingly smooth

    Merkur 34C / Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinum black (5)
    Satin Tip The Purest
    Arko

Arko made a fantastic lather like always and the super platinum was still smooth but noticeably less sharp on its 5th shave. Though I didn't notice any tugging it didn't cut as close as it had previously and left me with one small weeper on the neck. But otherwise an irritation free DFS that I am quite happy with. Have a great day everyone!

    Razor: Gillette SS
    Blade: Personna Blue (5)
    Brush: VDH Badger
    Cream: Proasro White (tube)
Pre Shave oil: Homemade (orange scent)
    AS: Nivea Balm
Bowl: $4.00 pick up @ antique shop.

The Proasro lathered beautiflly in that big bowl. The 1st pass ATG, went smoooth as silk, no bumps, no blood, just smooth all over. The 2nd pass WTG, was just as smooth if not more so. The Gillette SS always gives me a smooth shave but hardly ever a BBS. I guess that rule still stands, but a very good DFS +. I`m satisfied and i guess that`s what counts. Happy shaving to all.
