3/17/2015 Tobacco Tuesday! St Patrick's Day!

Prep: Hot shower with Nivea Face Wash with menthol, home made PSO
Razor: Stahly Live Blade, Dubl Duck Goldedge straight razor
Blade: Pol Silver Super Iridium (4)
    Brush: Vie Long Horse Hair
    Soap: Tabac
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave
    Cologne: Aqua H2O

Top o' da mornin' to ya! The Tabac whipped up nicely this morning with the Vie Long brush. The Stahly vibrated and the Duck sang. The AV brought some chill and the Aqua H2O will have me smelling good all the day. All in all another 2 pass Darn Fine Shave.

    Have a blessed day!

My shave was very good but I think I'm detecting a bit of tugging from the Sharp blade which is not an encouraging sign since it's only the second time I've used it. I'll have to wait and see. The Williams Menthol cream is so cooling and refreshing, and it has good skincare.

Prep: warm wash and Cornhusker's Lotion
    Lather: TSD Coconut
    Brush: Omega 10066
    Razor: Weber
    Blade: Wilkinson Sword (2)
Post: cool rinse and Old Spice

Easy 2 pass shave with the Weber. I've noticed that after every shave with this razor that I get no stinging from my aftershave even though the shave is always clean and comfortable and the results are simply smooth. I love my New LC and SC, but this Weber is the daily shaver in my den.

I don't think Fatso likes the Super-Max Platinums,I usually get a great shave @ setting 5,but for my dome shave I needed to pump it up to 7.Ended up BBS all around, but thunderdome needed more touch-ups.

Today was a quick 2 pass shave that resulted in an acceptable shave

    Improved PDP
    Rapira Platinum Lux blade
    slim adjustable

I use a scuttle for building my lather. Some days it seems like all of the lather goes into the scuttle, while on other days I seem to get nothing in the scuttle and all the lather seems to be inside the brush. Both ways, I have plenty of lather. It really doesn't make a difference on the quality of the lather, but I haven't been able to figure out what I am doing differently that makes the lather act like this. Does anyone have any ideas?

Soap: Le Pere Lucien "Rose de Pushkar" (sample)
    Brush: PAV Brushworks "Chief"
Razor: Gießen & Forsthoff Open Comp with Birds Eye Maple handle
Blade: Personna Platinum Chrome "Little Red Mexican"
    Aftershave: Floid "The Genuine"

Great. The Razor was a gift from my Parents. I really have to say, that i like it very much. It´s so so smooth and it´s a joy to shave with it. Nice and heavy. The soap smells very very good. Not too overpowering and not too faint. Right in the middle. Just as i like it. The wonderful Italian Floid does the rest. I had a very fine shave.

Have a great time Friends. Enjoy your Shaves.

    Greetings

Fantastic 3 pass shave today. I just might have found my new favorite blade for the LC. The MdC continues to impress with being so easy to lather. Finished up with the balm and CC Bay Rum.

So last night I had one of if not the closest shave of my life and it came as a bit of a surprise. Here is the gear I used.

Razor: Gillette 7 o'clock sterling (very light weight razor with a plastic handle).
    Cream: Gabel's brushless cream.
Blade: Dorco st300 with 3 prior shaves on it.
    Aftershave: Gabel's sta-cool.

    Three pass shave.

Normally I only use the dorco blades three times but I decided to stretch it to a fourth use. The 7 o'clock razor usually seems a bit harsh so I wasn't expecting this to be a great shave but it was. The gabel's brushless cream is good and slick but I truly believe the main thing was being more careful than normal and really slowing down due to the gear I was using.

    Tuesday's Shave

Prep: Hot shower w/ Grandpa's Pine Tar
Lather: L'occitane Cade shaving cream courtesy of @WhiskerWhacker
Razor: '46-'50 Gillette Heavy Gold Tech
    Blade: Astra SP
Post: Witch Hazel, Nivea Sensitive Balm
    Scent: Tommy Bahama Very Cool

Really good 2 pass WTG and XTG shave today with the Cade cream. Bit of irritation from going ATG 2 days in a row yesterday and Sunday so not the greatest or closest but I do like the Cade. SWMBO decided that she doesn't care for original Clubman so I've switched back to her favorite scent.
