the only low note of today's shave was the fact that I don't have a clue who made this razor. any help?
hope y'all did as well, but know who made your razor. 20150305_072845-1.jpg

Razor: '46-'50 Gillette Heavy Gold Tech

Same boring 2 pass shave as yesterday. Changed out the blade though and it felt better. Yesterday's blade must have been a bad one.

Just a really fine shave. In fact, it was one of those shaves, that when you're finished, say to yourself, "I could use this set up exclusively". Then you come to your senses and say, "Nah, still to many things to try".

What a magnificent shave! In my view, Stirling soaps are top performers. Wonderful scents combined with a slick, dense lather. A perfect way to begin the day. Happy Thursday everyone!

Great 2 pass shave with some touch ups. Not BBS but very good for a work morning. The MdC is a great soap. It lathers so easily and rinses clean. Followed up the shave with Dove AS Balm and CC Sandalwood AS.

My whiskers this morning were lighter than usual, which tells me I had a great shave yesterday. Today I definitely had reacquired the technique for use with the Gillette New Long Comb. 3 passes and smoother than yesterday.

Prep: Hot towel, home made PSO
Razor: GEM Push Button, "The Hornet" Simmons Hardware Inc straight razor
Blade: GEM PTFE coated SE (6)
    Brush: HJM Black Fibre
    Soap: Mitchell's Wool Fat
After: Home made ASB, Aqua Velva Ice Blue after shave
    Cologne: Gravity

A good 2 pass Darn Fine Shave. The MWF whipped up nicely with the HJM synthetic brush. The Push Button is a mild and smooth shaver. "The Hornet" is a big and heavy blade, but it does the job very nicely. The AV brought some chill and the Gravity will have me smelling good all day.

    Have a blessed day!

    Warm shower
    Hot towel
    CRSW Select Sandalwood scuttle lathered
Finest Badger brush made by myself
Gillette Single Ring (Made in England S/N H014236)
    Polsilver Super Iridium (1)
    Cold rinse
    Thayers Superhazel
    Boots Freshwood aftershave

Lovely close shave from the Single Ring. This example's on the milder side so I opened up the razor a little allowing the blade to lift slightly off the comb.
