I started off with Proraso Pre Shave. The Soap Commander Renewal Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #271 synthetic brush. I did two passes with the Rolls Razor and ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse, I finished off with Thayer's Lemon WH and then Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Another thorough review, thank you. Personally, I do not care for the "artistic" names many soap makers are choosing to use. That practice actually turns me away from further investigating said product. JMO (Yes, I realize that cologne makers have been doing the same thing from time immemorial).

Awesome shave I really like the razor. This is the mixed metal version with the aluminum Barrell everything else is brass. The blade didn’t feel super sharp but a good blade. The cream is awesome and gotta love the scent. Bbs smooth

Got back from our Florida & Tennessee trip last night. Stuck with the travel set-up I posted on 17 March. Had not used the EJ DE87 in a few years and frankly, I was somewhat disappointed in its performance. I had loaded a Personna red prior to leaving and after the 2nd shave (1st shave was lousy) wondered whether I had a dud blade. (never had a red go south on me). Changed out the blade with another red. Could it be the angle? The canned cream? Not using a brush? Maybe a combo of routine changes that messed me up. Anyway, this morning's shave was a delight.

    Cream: La Toja
    Brush: Omega S10065
    Bowl: Dollar Tree salsa
    Razor: RazoRock German 37 Slant
    Blade: Gillette Nacet (9)
    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve

Prep: Warm Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Sheep
    Soap: Reef Point Submariner
    Razor: Gillette Fat Boy
Blade: Vintage Personna 74 Tungsten (Shave #7)
    Brush: John’s Brushes Silvertip-22mmx48mm
    Aftershave: Reef Point Submariner

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angles for my beard)

Reef Point Submariner today. 20 seconds to load the John’s Brushes Silvertip brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Personna 74 Tungsten still in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Reef Point Submariner aftershave.

I don't recall using this blade/razor combo before but now that I have, I simply must do it again. Very smooth, comfortable and close resulting in a BBS shave. My face is very very happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.
