    Omega Pro49 Boar
    OSP Barbershop soap
    Geo. Wostenholm 6/8 Pipe Razor
    A little alum, and
    Pinaud Clubman After shave lotion

Good 3 passes - not quite as smooth as my last shave and a little more irritation, but finished with a DFS and a seriously enjoyable Clubman splash.

Have a lovely Easter weekend all.

Soap: Crowne & Crane Thuringian Forest

Crowne & Crane Thuringian Forest today. 20 seconds to load the Wild West/Elite Manchurian White brush. Easy, thick, slick, lather. Personna 74 Tungsten still in the Fat Boy. Excellent smooth, close, shave. I finished with Country Club Southern Oud aftershave.

Shake Sharp v2 .0, TOBS, twin BIC. Super efficient but not as smooth as with stacked blades in the v1.0. I don't recommend the stacked blades in this razor.

    Razor: Gillette Guard:
Blade: Guard Single Edge Cart. (4)
    Lather: Gillette Foamy
    AS: Afta

Well finally, after about 50 shaves with the Guard, I got 2 little weepers, totally my fault, I was getting too over confident and stroking too fast in every which direction. I learned my lesson, but still experimenting. This little piece of plastic is something else. Two passes, WTG/ATG with some clean up (where I got fancy and nicked myself). I just can`t remember when I got a better shave. God Bless to all. 100_4360.JPG

    RECENT SHAVES
    20180328_130612.jpg

Prep: Occams Crushed Lime pre shave soap
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Bolzano
    Brush: Maggard 24mm synthetic
    Soap: B&M Jacinthe
Post: Mickey Lee Grand Havana Balm

Very nice shave. Bowl lathered the Jacinthe, the scent is fruity, fresh with a tomato leaf background and smells great. BBS shave with no irritation. Finished off with Grand Havana balm, this stuff has the consistency of whipped yogurt and for $10/ 4oz it is a pretty good deal considering the skin food ingredients. Lot of talk about their soaps but don't hear much about their balms.

Prep: MLSW Sandalwood pre shave butter
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Classic
    Blade: Bolzano
    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: Steambath Factory Bloodbath
Post: Proraso Woods & Spice balm, Lucky Tiger

Had planned to use Van Yulay Spiced Mahogany for this shave, but couldn't get a stable lather despite loading more soap. Happened to have Bloodbath on the counter so went with that instead. The scent is pumpkin coffee and dust. Steambath Factory is made by Tiki and this soap just explodes with thick lather that can hold a nice amount of water. Finished off with Woods & Spice balm. Had a few weapers so the Bloodbath soap was fitting for this shave.

    Prep: Pre shave soap mix
    Razor: GEM G-Bar
    Blade: GEM Blue Star

    Brush: Razorock BC Plissoft
    Soap: Pannacreama Vetiver
    Post: Shannon's Haymarket Vetiver A/S

Decent shave this morning. The Pannacreama soap made a mountain of thick lather and the Vetiver scent is the strongest scent of the regular PC line of the ones I have tried. Scent paired well with Haymarket Vetiver. Did have some trouble with the against the grain pass, wrong angle might be to blame. Still managed to get a close shave so no worries. Hope everyone is doing well and getting great shaves.

What do you think about that Wilkinson Sword Classic razor? I’ve ordered one to try it out as a travel razor.

50 shaves? Dang Bill those Carts must last forever. That's great to hear you managed to have a great shave with that many miles on the blade. I also have noticed the blade works best after a few shaves for some reason....makes you wonder why some people only use a blade once or twice, but does show these blades have better longevity than some give them credit for.

Excellent review of A Midnight Dreary! This scent is unique to say the least. Smells quite a bit like K Shave works Hazlet's Apocarthy Black Orchid scent.

Oh!, I`m sorry , I meant 50 shaves on 5 different blades (10 per shave), sorry about that, that would be something! You are absolutely right about the blades getting a little sharper after a couple shaves. I stretched a couple blades out to 12, 11 wasn`t bad, but 12 was a little rough so I decided 10 was my best bet. Go with God, my friend, Bill

Hot wash, Neutrogena Men Invigorating FW
    2 hot towels
Cremo Cooling Shave Cream (as pre-shave)
    C. O. Bigelow
    Razorock Plissoft
1918 Gillette "Old Type" w/Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    3 passes
Cold rinse, witch hazel, Duke Conner Ice Cold AS Balm, Barbasol Brisk AS

Nice shave. Really felt the blade, though. I might need to try this razor with a more mild blade. Suggestions?
