How can I determine if a bottle of OS is Shulton (classic), or the more recent stuff?

 

My guess to that is the the red letters of the P&G Old Spice are brighter than those of Shulton.

 

If it says Original on the front, or says P&G, or Proctor & Gamble anywhere on the back, it isn't the Shulton made good stuff. Look for Shulton, on the back. There was a transition year, that says 1993 and says P&G and Shulton on the back. It isn't as good as the previous years. This was the first year P&G screwed with the formula, and this was the last year Shulton was involved.
Other than that exception, anything with Shulton on the back, is the good stuff.
