    Thank you, gentlemen.

The Rex Ambassador is an excellent razor. Craftsmanship is top-notch, excellent grip, nice weight but not too heavy. For me, depending on the blade, I can adjust the gap between 2.5-3.5 and obtain BBS two pass shave. I own eight different models of adjustable razors and the Rex is neck and neck as top adjustable with my Toggle.

Good to see you back Patrick!

Sunday shave March 1st 2020- I'm kind of doing a slow marathon shave with this blade, it's amazing the longevity you can receive from a Twin II blade(Japan MFG?). It is showing signs of getting a little duller but still good for some more shaves.
    Twin blades (2).jpg

Razor : Stick Schick injector theme razor- MFG 1973
Blade : Schick twin II injector(29)
Soap: Colonel Conk Bayrum- good soap- mild scent with great lather qualities IMO.
Brush : Yaqi timber wolf 24mm - great synthetic brush.
Pre-shave: brush wash my face with CeraVe hand bar soap + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 3.
Post shave: Razorock XXX aftershave with witch Hazel+ Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG] good shave!

    Sunday shave March 1st 2020 (2).jpg

    Have some great shaves!

    I suppose not.

However, every time I've given the RR Old Type a whirl it's been with a different blade. And they're brands that work well in my Fatip Grande and RR German 37 slant. (Astra SP, Gillette Nacets & 7 O'Clocks, Personna reds, Rapira LUX, Polsilver SI, etc.)

I'm reluctant to bother trying it again although I do like the handle which will fit the slant so it's not a total loss.

Jeeves soaps are wonderful. I appreciate this one - therefore it's home in the old antique glass and silver powder container. I think turkish bath is now barbershop? Can someone confirm. I am going to get backup pucks! Wears well with old spice[IMG][IMG]

What was your impression of the Central Texas Soaps(Sandalwood)? As you may have read from my posts here, I have two others from CTS. Actually, I need to correct that-one other aftershave(Weekend Rodeo)and two soaps(Grandpa's Barbershop and Weekend Rodeo).
