    Fat Sunday March 15th SOTN

Oh my, this was about the absolute best lather I've ever produced with the Fat! I had enough for probably 2 generous shaves . I think I'm going to carry the soap over to tomorrow's shave. I'm about as smooth as I can be thanks to the FAT and the Taiga / Perma-sharp combo. Happy shaves all.

Another Sunday is in the books. Busy yet not busy out there today. Not sure how to describe things. Weird. Strange. Surreal. But we're all feeling that, I'm sure. One thing is a constant, though, and that's the daily shave. I stayed with the Muhle $41 and Sharp Star again and went back to the El Caballero with the JR312. This is the faux horse knot in that classicly stunning JR handle. Great lather and great shave. Once again I added a little too much pressure on my neck so it's a bit warm even without the alum burn. I'll survive. Need to remind myself that this big razor is plenty heavy enough. It certainly doesn't need my help.

Doctor in the morning for the monthly routine then a couple of meetings and we'll see if we can make Monday a great day!! You do the same!!

A cool day which, for me, started at 2:30, damn insomnia!

I saw a good movie, which is fine and unusual, because it's usually some junk to interrupt the obsessive calls for responsible behavior in this pandemic.
From this exasperating repetitiveness, looking at the results, different conclusions can be drawn: 1. the mother of idiots is always pregnant, 2. not everyone watches television, 3. it is not very clever to obsessively repeat the very same message.
In fact, it is known, habit dulls attention so I assume that many people switch channel every time the notice on how to behave appears.

Sure, making different commercials costs more than just one, but... how much does it cost to ignore the guidelines?
Surely it is easier to criticize the work of others than to create it, but ... those who occupy certain positions should have experience not as a lawyer, teacher or similar, but have organizational skills that is difficult to learn.

I, however, in choosing soap today, instead of exercising the attention I had hoped for, I let myself be carried away by instinct: I chose a soap I hadn't used for a long time, 3P.

This is an almond scented vegetable soap; in my case it was almond scented.
A non-soft croap that, over time, has lost water and hardened, offering a higher yield.
It is very easy to load and generates a compact lather that can be diluted according to the preferences.
It is very slippery and the post is not bad; the INCI is: Stearic Acid, Aqua, Cocos Nucifera, Potassium Hydroxide, Sodium Hydroxide, Parfum, Potassium Carbonate.
As a performance it reminds me of the Saponeria Artigiana, the TFS brick, the Cella.
    An honest vegetable soap...

And, last but not least, I must admit my distraction: the photographed brush is not the one I used, but a counterpart I had assembled to evaluate its proportions.
When I realized it, I didn't really want to take the shot again.

    Cold Water Rinse
    Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap
    Jayaruh #391 Synthetic
    Schick L1
    Schick Proline
    CWR
    Osage Rub

The Virgilio Valobra Shaving Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #391 Synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick L1 with a Schick Proline blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
