Welcome to another MENTHOL MONDAY!! Today's soap selection is Stirling Orange Chill. Trying to convince the weather that, with oranges about, it's Springtime! Too much chill in the air, even though there's just the right amount in the soap. I used the 30DC LE brush to create that perfect Stirling lather. Time to go to a traditional shavette as well, so I'm starting with the Luxor Pro. This is a really nice little shavette that features guards to cover the corners of the blade. The Sharp Star half blade fit perfectly, of course, and it was fun to use this one again. My technique with a DE shavette is a bit rusty but I managed to find a very nice DFS on three passes with no blood and minimal alum burn. I'll take that result. I'll stick with it a few days to get it under control again.

Seven shaves and done with the Perma-sharp... Two little nicks on the neck after slight tugging. I still finished the shave but that's my limit. The Taiga performed as per usual . Happy shaves all.

SOTD:
This week i decided to use my South African made soaps exclusively, and boy was i glad that i did! I forgot how good the reitzer perfect shave is, super slick soap, i just absolutely hate the small diameter container, so ill have to remove the puck and load the brush from a larger container.

The palmshave performed wonderfully too, definitely one of my slickest creams, even though quite a lot is needed to get a decent lather.

Ive forgotten how well the derby extras perform, they're definitely one of my favourite blades even though theyre on the opposite end of the spectrum compared to my favourite blades the feather's. They really have impressed me with their longevity, and for the price the derbys are definitely hard to beat.

Went to a new shop today that sells imported goods and found these two beauties at a bargain price!

I should have enough aftershaves for the next decade now lol.

The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with the Jayaruh #395 two-band badger brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply V2 injector razor with a Schick Proline blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I wish I didn’t have to go out today because it snowed yesterday and also because of the situation but we need groceries. In the meantime I really enjoyed the Klipspringer soap’s lovely coffee/peppermint scent, its thick, rich, slick lather, and its delightful menthol sensation. The Prep delivered a very generous additional cooling as well as lots of soothing, and the Amici aftershave from Italian Barber has such a beautiful scent and a mild touch of menthol. All in all this was a fantastic three pass BBS shave!
