    Greetings,

(Face & Head Shave.) (Adjustable DE Razor week.)

A new shave set up to start the weekend...Maiden face & head shave with the Vitos Vegetale Soap...The verdict?..... A very nice shaving soap, which lathers up superbly provides a slick protective thick lather with a wonderful vibrant marzipan /sweet almond scent with a small hint of coconut oil which lasts throughout the shave and beyond leaving a superb post shave feel...A wonderful addition to my humble shaving soap collection which i look forward to using in future shaves.

Finishing the Lord blade month off using the Shark Super Stainless blade....I know from pass experience with the Shark SS i get 2-3 max acceptable shaves after that i bin them. They have a good balance of smoothness/sharpness which is a great combo especially for head shaving...As always YMMV, opinions are very subjective.

The Parker Variant razor excelled the shave eliminating my face & head stubble effortlessly... It's always a pleasure to shave with this amazingly smooth solidly well built razor, today was no exception...The non-aggressive yet assertive enough Shark SS paired together wonderfully making a smooth efficient duo.

A enjoyable close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off a with a small dollop of L'0REAL ~ Barber Club Reinforcing ASB..

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

I must remember to try again Vitos: is resting since 5 years on the shelf...
    Everybody says wonders about it!

Give the Vitos another try, you'll be pleasantly surprised. I assume the one you have is the Tallow-based?..I have sampled the Vitos (Red) which i like. The new Vegetale version is equally as good for lathering, slickness, fragrance & post shave feel.

    Tallow based?
I do not have the slightest idea...
It's been given to me when I joined the first Italian forum, 7 years ago, I believe.

    Certainly not recent.

Mine is the Red as well.

    Fragrance?
It seems it lost it, but secondary...
If scentless might be good for superlathering with low performance soaps whose fragrance I like.

    Thank you, Barry!

If a good day starts in the morning....
I woke up at 4 a.m. with no hope of getting back to sleep.
The maid who could bring me orange juice and tea was not there.
And when I got up for morning rituals, I was enveloped by the stench of green bugs and I couldn't figure out where the stinky insect was hidden!
What's the point of them? Are they the food of some insectivore?
And couldn't God have avoided creating an insectivore whose diet consisted of such stinkers?
What kind of breath he must have!
He eats stinky things and gets a frustrating sex life out of it!
Whoever is going to kiss it?

Yesterday I liked Tech a lot and today I put him back to work: only politicians get a 23 and a half hour rest so I didn't feel guilty.

Thanks to the still dark hour I could surreptitiously use one of the Dutch Latherers.
The brush is losing its pungency: it's very pleasant, but I missed that mssagginess a bit.
Also, I like it a lot.

A great shave: at least that didn't spoil my debut on a Saturday that is too bright for my taste.

The Vitos Red fragrance has a mild Almond/coconut when first made..It'll make a wonderful frankenlather mixing it with soaps or creams you haven't gave much attention to..Personally the scent of a shaving soap or cream isn't a big issue for me, the performance & post shave feel are.
    Yours- Barry.

The Vintage Life Licorice Shave Soap lathered well with The Brush B-3 by Tom. Two passes and touch ups with the Fredrick Reynolds 5/8 razor blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Lilac Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

I can generally manage performance, one way or another, but scent is paramount to me! :D

Razor: Gillette SS (Rocket version)X1-MFG 1952 1st qtr, mild razor, nice razor with a Kai SS blade. Carefree shave this morning.
Blade: Kai SS (1) Excellent blade,Sharp & smooth with great longevity. Wider than a standard Gillette for greater blade exposure.
Soap: Ogallala bayrum & sandal wood, nice mild scent with great lather qualities, excellent post shave feel.
Brush: Omega boar brush- One of my first brushes when experimenting with wet shaving(4yrs ago), funk smell at first and totally tortured that brush to get rid of the animal smell, did everything wrong to break in a boar brush properly. All I can say is it is well made and a good brush when broken in. Bought a new one recently and will try the proper method when breaking a boar in when it arrives![IMG] Boar brushes should always be pre-soaked 2 min> for those who are new to wet shaving.
Pre shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave: Witch hazel + Ogallala Bayrum + sandal wood + a tiny dollop of Nivea balm.
Results: CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + no weepers = [IMG] Excellent shave with my Gillette 1952 SS + a Kai SS blade.
