Lately I’m saving my Glacials for the spring and summer but today I wanted to go with one of them so I selected the Strawberry Lemonade soap and aftershave. Wow, do I ever LOVE the scent - the strawberry seems to be the more dominant feature but the lemon shines through also. The soap’s tallow formula promotes such great lather with tons of the typical awesome Stirling slickness, the menthol sensation can freeze your face to smithereens, and the postshave is A1. The Prep balm really gave me a wonderful soothing and moisturizing feeling with some additional menthol cooling, while the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave hit me with two boatloads of frigid menthol - its gorgeous scent is also long lasting. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave that started my week off beautifully!

The Tea Tree Body Bar lathered well with SlimGem 3D Printed Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Astra 501 Safety Razor and a Wilkinson Sword Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

As I've gotten more vintage myself, I find that I prefer milder razors. Easier on my old face and the shave ends up just fine. This weeks set up should be just fine, I know it was today. Vintage Williams is, to me, superb and does very well indeed. So my face is happy. Now go enjoy your day folks.

Razor : GEM Micromatic buttonless variant - Mfg 1930-32, mid range. Well built to last generations and enjoyable shaving when mastered. Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (8) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Mitchell's wool fat, mild clean scent + great lather qualities. Makes excellent ubber lather.
Brush : Yaqi "Moka express" 24mm synthetic brush. Excellent lather generator, heavenly luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Pinaud Clubman aftershave + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a stellar close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Micromatic razor with a coated Gem blade.

Power was out during the shave, so I did a cold water to conserve the hot water still in the tank. There was enough light coming in windows so that I could see. I took the picture after power came back 4 hours later.

The Viking's Sword blade is still performing well. It is not the sharpest blade, but it is smooth.

The Nivea Men Originals shave cream never fails to provide me with a super protective slick lather leaving a good post shave feel. Superb stuff!

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.
