If memory is correct, this is the Simpson P8 or Phyl8, a Limited Edition by Shave Nook back in the day. I had one short term but sold it off as too short of a handle for my liking, and the best badger knot was small to my liking as well. At the time(2013/14), I was into knot size 26-30mm, and I believe this was 22mm; I could be wrong on this.

Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Men Energize Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Curalene Cocoa Butter Glycerin Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Sagrada Familia Synthetic.
Face lather.
Lather: Gillette Skin Ultra Sensitive Shave Cream.
Blade: Voskhod Teflon Coated. (D2)
Razor: Parker 24C.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, /Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Calvin Klein Eternity For Men ASL./Bulldog Original Moisturiser.

A close comfortable shave to close March 2025 off on a high.

In April I will continue with the Voskhod TC with the addition of the Dorco prime platinum pairing them up with the Yaqi DOC mellon razor head w/Schmidt R10 handle & Baili BD191 head w/Muhle R89 Handle. for my face shaves.

For my head/dome Shaves, I will continue using the Parker InjRzr paired together with the Personna PTFE SS Injector blades.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Bulldog Original Moisturiser.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Here is my Shave of the Day (30.03.2025)


Bowl: Captains Choice Heavyweight Copper // Razor: Weber // Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra (24) // Soap: WSP Mahogany // Brush: Heritage Collection Ever-Ready 200 // Aftershave: Witch Hazel - Aloe Vera Gel

A very nice shave. The blade shows a little let down, it is not that thoroughly so you need to shave over some areas more often, but nevertheless tha blade delivers a smooth and gentle shave. No pulling or tugging. The Weber is a great razor. I love it.

Soap was whipped up in my Copper Bowl with my Ever-Ready 200. The knot should be identical to the knot of the PAA Solar Flare. Lovely knot. The soap is a top performer. Great cushion and glide and this scent is fascinating.

It took me 3 passes plus minor touch ups to get completely BBS. It was a fun shave. Applied some Witch Hazel followed by Aloe Vera Gel to close out this shave.

10 out of 10

Lubriderm Moisturizer
Tabac AS Splash

Since I found out that the tallow version of Tabac is no longer available and the newer version isn’t as good I only use this stick once or twice a year because I want it to last as long as possible. I absolutely LOVE the scent, the lather of this tallow stick is sumptuous, and the postshave feeling is so soothing. The Lubriderm moisturizer works so well as a balm, and the Tabac aftershave went on with a two second sting but then it felt great and its delightful old school European scent lasts almost all day. The Wilkinson blade gave me one last hoorah with a brilliant three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed so much!

The Mitchel's Wool Fat Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #462 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher razor and the Personna Gem Stainless PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
