    The steel is Hitachi Yasuki Steel, a factory version of Tamahagane steel that was used for making swords in Japan. The feedback sound and feel for this steel is very different from my other straights. Excellent stuff.

    @Spud I was checking soaps at Maggard and I checked La Toja and they make it in a shaving cream tube also. I thought maybe this would save you trouble if you decide to reorder when it runs out. :) La Toja Shave Cream Tube

    thanks Robby! The new handle is much heavier than the one that came with the razor. The shorter handle makes it easier to get under the chin. so far so good.

    Thanks for the heads up! I've been enjoying the soap very much and would like to try the cream sometime for sure. I didn't know this cream existed. Are you going to try it?
