Tuesday will be a nice Spanish cream:

    Nivea Facial Wash
    Razorock Plissoft 26 mm Synthetic :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055:
    Junjie/Astra day 2
    Lea Classic SC :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Gold Bond Moisturizer :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:
    Folsom & Company Shambala AS :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :love055: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily: :Animatedfrozensmily:

Hey, I have to show my creams some love too, huh? This Lea Classic which I bought from Italian Barber has a wonderful scent which I find hard to describe. Some guys say sandalwood, but I really don't know. It lathers very easily and it's also fairly cooling with an excellent post-shave sensation. The Shambala aftershave has one of the nicest scents I've ever experienced and its menthol effect is terrific. The longevity of this scent is also great! ;) :D

    TESC Pre-Shave Oil
    TABAC
    Jayaruh #51 synthetic (first shave)
    GEM G-Bar
    CVS Carbon Steel SE
    CWR, Asma Alum Block
    Thayers Rose Petal WH
    Vegetal

Started with the GEM G-bar this morning. It gave a pretty effortless shave. I got great results. Love the TABAC. My new JR51 got its first run today. It performed flawlessly. It has a great feel. The bristles are very soft, but have just the right amount of backbone. Overall though, I couldn't help thinking about Thursday. Two important things happen. I will be switching to the Ever-Ready 1914 for its annual shave, and The Bunny is scheduled to arrive. That means I have to be very careful with my Thursday shave so The Bunny will have a good face to work on come Friday.

The TABAC Shaving Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #51 synthetic brush. Two passes with my GEM G-Bar razor and a CVS Carbon Steel SE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Vegetal After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

No shave today but I wanted to let people know that today 3/21 is National Down Syndrome Day. In my avatar is my young son Paul who has DS. As to why March 21st? Down Syndrome or Trisomy 21 is the condition where the person has a 3rd 21st chromosome. thanks for reading and God Bless............

This is what mine looks like, no idea where it was made. Probably marked "Club" to advertise the blade. Like I said it shaves real well.

Is that Obsidian cold or is that Obsidian COLD? (I LOVE it!)

How did you find the lather? For me it's perfect. I use my Razorock Plissoft 26 which is a synthetic and it makes that soap lather rich and slick in so little time.

I used the #6 today. The lather took a few minutes and a little more water. But that lather was thick and slick. I will try the RazoRock Plisson Monster next time.

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20160321_194439.jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real Oakmoss
    Razor: 1953 Gillette Tech
Blade: Asco super stainless (1st shave)

    Brush: omega s synthetic
    Soap: Maggard's Tobacco & Leather
    Post: Stetson cooling moisture

2 pass shave today. I love the scent of Tobacco & Leather, but this soap has been hit or miss. Sometimes it burns my face, sometimes it doesnt. The last time I used it was ok, but it lit me up today. On a positive note, the Asco blade from the sampler pack felt pretty smooth and so far so good. Finished off with Stetson cooling moisture. Hope everyone had a great shave!

    A longer SOTD today :)

The "regular" SOTD photo (with my Wilkinson T70 razor and e-Shave brush):

    Since I am now also really 'getting into' pens and paper...sigh....here's what I used during the day (a Uniball Jetstream 0.7 and Rhodia 5x5 notbook);

And this is where it gets a bit 'silly' maybe (you mean the other parts were not?) :)
I used to like drawing and sketching but haven't done so in a couple of decades.
My 'plan' is to dedicate one notepad to sketch the razor I use and date the sketch.
That way I have constantly new material to draw and a sense of 'purpose' to that notebook.
Note: I am not a very good artist at all so here is the razor next to the drawing just in case you thought I just drew a hammer.

Curious if anyone else is doing something similar. A razor drawings thread could potentially be fun.

Broke out my 1924 as I've been on an injector bender for longer than I remember and I thought it would be a good idea to re-familiarize myself with an SE before picking up my 1914 on Thursday. It didn't disappoint. A new blade would have been a good thing facing 2+ days of beard but it did the job and then some. A smooth, close shave all around that I just wanted to keep going. No cuts, nicks, or weepers. :happy036:
