Sundays shave was at 5am this morning simply because my neck had been playing up and I hadn't slept, so I figured I might as well get up. Consequently I am a bit tired., so please excuse any typos or just anything that doesn't make any sense.

So I went for a Single edge Sunday today. Haven't used an SE in ages don't know why, the gem micromatic is so easy to use, so comfortable and gives great results . So a great start to the day after an awful night.

Post shave:T.N. Dickerson’s Witch Hazel, Jack Black balm, Old Spice original Shulton Lime
Whipped up the Castle Forbes, great scent, in a minute with the Olive Wood Silvertip. Nice slick warm cushion with the soft brush on my face. The fresh Feather in the slim glided thru my beard in 2 passes WTG, XTG. My technique is getting better on my neck with ATG on 3. Nice and smooth DFS. The T.N. Dickerson's WH felt good on my face and that natural witch hazel scent was nice and fresh. After cleaning my razor and a little spray of isopropyl alcohol to help dry the innards, I smoothed on some Jack Black. And a splash of that great Old Spice Lime, perfect! Nice to get back to the Feather blade, but you have to try other things, that's life! Right Frank?

I really like Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap, have been using it for a couple of years.

today's shave was a rescued one. I had hoped to use a straight exclusively today.I worked on the wedge yesterday, had it treetopping even. but after one pass and a couple of ouches. I decided it just wasn't meant to be. I pulled up the r41, loaded with yesterday's Ladas. three passes later, I'm perfectly smooth, a little sore where the wedge got me. finished with special reserve. fine rescue.

today i had two things, which i used for the first time. The Brush (it came Friday) and the Aftershave (it came yesterday). Here is what used for my Coldwater-Shave:


Soap: FAENA Vanilla (Sample) || Brush: Vulfix Grosvenor || Razor: Merkur 34c || Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux || Aftershave: Krampert´s Finest Frostbyte

Chilly!!! Really Chilly!!! Started with ice cold water and lathered up my sample of the Greek "FAENA" soap. The smell is great. Not too overpowering and not too weak. Just right in the middle. The Vulfix Grosvenor whipped lather up in no time and only with a few swirls. The Merkur 34c glided through the stubbles like a hot knife through butter. The Platinum Lux is a very sharp but gentle blade. Great combination. As Aftershave i used my Krampert´s Frostbyte...what freeeeeeeeeezing!!! But it has wonderful skincare and the scent is outa here. Wonderful!!!
