Roger, once again I wish you a speedy recovery with renewed strength. I have to be honest with you, my friend. These Glacial soaps make every other mentholated soap I thought was strong feel warm.

    Razor: '52 Gillette Super Speed
    Blade: Astra SP
Post: Witch Hazel, Nivea Sensitive Balm
    Scent: Pinaud Lime Sec

So busy today I almost forgot to post! The MITA was nice and cold! Did a full 3 pass shave to an excellent, irritation-free DFS. The MITA froze my face, then the cold water rinse, then the 10 degree air on my way out the door! Yep springtime in central NY!

Ouch! Good luck with the surgery. I actually use both hands when I shave. I didn't even notice that I shaved that way until someone here did a survey on which hand you use shaving. Good luck and take it slow, no pressure.

    image.jpg Razor: Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960
Brush: Jerusalem Olive Wood/WD Silvertip 24/48
    Mug: VDH
    Cream: The Gentlemen Cedar
    Blade: Feather (2)
Pre shave: Tree Hut Shea body wash Mango
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, OS vintage Shulton
Whipped up The Gentlemen Cedar with no problem with the Silvertip. Good cushion from The Gentlemen and it has a nice scent. I really like the FB. I could just use this razor forever with the Feather, and be happy. The Shea Mango for the pre-shave helped give me a nice no burn shave. And then some of that vintage OS, It's Springtime, so let's hear about it from my good friend Frank.

My first shave ever with a SE. (I couldn't wait till tomorrow)
Not bad at all really. Definetly more audible feed back. Even when my face felt smooth, I could hear it "scraping". I did have to do a full 3 passes. I can usually do 2 and a clean up with the DE's. Technique was easy to get the angle correct and noticeable results from each pass. My chin was the hardest to get and neck got a little tender, but no nicks or bloodletting at all!
Blade was a generic store brand packaging "GEM" BLUE STAR from Fred Meyer (Kroger).

the worst best shave of my life, or the best worst shave of my life? Shaving with some new Art of shaving products today I received from his from Hudson. ( Thank you Hudson) The smell of these Sandalwood products is very pleasant . it reminded me of Proraso red, but a bit nicer. The performance was outstanding!!!!!! I don't think I have ever has such a slick shave. It was amazing. A very pleasant surprise.
BUT, and its a big BUT, my face was irritated during the shave. I think I might be a bit sensitive to one of the products, I hope not as I did get such a great shave from it.
I will keep trying these products and hope it works out, but if not I will have to PIF these products, they are just too good not to be used.

    Razor - Slim
    Brush - Plisson Synthetic
    Blade - Ladas
Pre shave - Art of shaving Sandalwood pre shave oil
Lather - AOS Sandalwood shave cream
Aftershave - AOS Sandalwood aftershave balm
