Had some very busy weeks. Hope I'll have more time to spend with you, my friends!
Today's shave was the second one with this barely used Imperial no2 which Smoothy sent me (thanks again, mate!). The first shave (friday) taught me the blade needed some sharpening, which I did yesterday. The result: a fine BBS shave!

Today I gave the other Rolls Smoothy sent some sharpening (a stainless steel cased Imperial no.3: yesterday's shave with it needed some DE finishing as the blade was a bit dull as well). See where we end then! Can't wait!

The Bay Rum AS (another gift from Smoothy) is a joy to use. I really like the bay rum odor!

Omg that sounds so awesome.... It's a nice spring day here in Illinois as well but that sounds perfect.

Beautiful shave! A two pass with touch-up with the personna blade found at a 99 cent store, the second time I ever used a personna and it felt smoother using Barbasol. Family Dollar Spice was a nice and clean finish for such a simple shave of comfort and meditation.

Hello Ladies and Gentleman,

today i had my Easter-Sunday-Menthol-Shave.

It began with a nice,hot shower.I used "Weleda Wild Rose".After this i was ready for a very good shave.I dried up and began with the following equipment:

-Robert Becker Scuttle
-Proraso Cream
-Edwin Jagger DE89
-Polsilver Blade (1st use ever in 3-passes)
-Bock Silvertip
-cold water rinse
-Aqua Velva Ice Blue Aftershave.



A very very refreshing and comfortable shave.This blade is fantastic.Even if the weather outside is cold and a little snowy,i liked to have this "Menthol-Kick".

Jeff,no menthol?! What´s wrong with you?! I thought you were our "God of Menthol". Do you like the soap?! I like the scent of it.Tried it only once,but i like it.

 

You used what would have also been a great set-up for Menthol Monday - I'm proud of you!

 

lollllll I still have to show my non-mentholated soaps and creams some love every so often. I think that soap is wonderful - it's a top favorite of mine, and it always has been.

 

Thank you Jeff.I used the Proraso for the first time after a very long time.The problem is,there was soooo much to try,that this really cool and very good cream was in the very back of my cabinet.But i will give it few more shaves now.

 

Proraso is my dad's favorite. I have introduced him to other creams/soaps, but he always goes back to Proraso. I recently got him a tube of the formula Proraso Green for his birthday. He says he doesn't notice any change in performance. I personally like the Palmolive Menthol scent more than I like Proraso, so that's my menthol cream of choice.

 

I didn´t tried the Palmolive Menthol...I searched for it in mostly every store with shaving equipment...but nothing.Looks i have to order it via Web.

Proraso is a very nice cream.I own the red one "Sandalwood" too.I love the scent of it.Maybe i will mix the two ones...Menthol With Sandalwood.Heavenly!!!

 

You are aware that there is a 'extra fris' version of De Vergulde Hand shavesoap?!
It's just a hint of freshness, but...

Ich denke nicht, dass diese Creme in Deutschland verfügbar ist. Ich wünsche, dass es für Euch Kerle war. Ich mag die Proraso Sandelholz auch - nach meiner Meinung ist es fantastisch!

(I was telling Thorsten that I don't think that the Palmolive Menthol cream is available in Germany, and that I wish it was. I was also saying that I also like the Proraso Red cream -in my opinion, it's fantastic!)

2nd time using this razor since I won it in a PIF (Thanks, 5Savages!). 3 passes and a DFS, other than reopening a cut from a few days ago.

I'm becoming partial to 3-piece razors. I also like the long, light handle on this guy. I've heard that the Lord head is similar to a Merkur , so once I'm gainfully employed, a long handled, 3-piece Merkur may be added to my ever expanding collection!

 

The long honing session went good. My chipped W&B now back in action, and the new edge is just right!
