    Tuesday's Shave

    1920's Gillette Bostonian Razor
Chinese Panda Blade (First use !)
    B&B 2006 Finest Brush
    Arran Aromatics Vetiver Shave Cream

    Polo EdT

The first pass was ...well ouch !! ...the Panda blades bite for sure. Don't think I'll be loading up one of these animals again in a hurry. Not to be beaten I did a careful 4 passes and still didn't get a close shave...

SOTD Rating 7/10 ...a challenging shave...

You might try to shave your neck with a straight razor , I find a straight razor is much more forgiving on the neck area but twice as effective So ! there you have it

    Panda Blades

The Panda blades are definitly for the asian market only.
I have a hunch Chinese beards are not as taught as the beards of other races thats why they get away with the panda blade .

I got a few to test , they didnt pass the test but instead to throwing them away I'll send off some blades to my customers for fun to try out and let them remember how blessed we are with Derby's ,Feathers,Sharps, 7am, Gillette,IP's.

But thats nothing compared to a couple of blades I have here that really REALLY hurts when you use them.

On a different note I did get a reasonable shave out of the panda just isnt worth your time.when there are blades that do 10 times a better job.

    Hi Rene :)
Actually I really like trying new shave gear no matter what it is. It's what makes the shave experience fun and interesting :bounce015. We have a great laugh at work with swapping and sharing and trying new stuff out. I can only post my experiences and only by trying new items can I find the interest to take a quick photograph and make a comment, otherwise I just wouldnt bother. It helps alot when I get free samples to try :D

No, it’s Waterman blue ink that I turned into red with Photoshop ;). Sometimes, whatever you do, the shave is terrible.

    Tuesday AM

Lyrt: I'm feelin' ya, dog. You and I had forgetful shaves yesterday.

    Here's to a new day!!

    Hot shower
    Prorase Pre/Post in shower
    B&B Standard Horn
'63 Fatboy w/ Derby Extra blade (Day 4)
    Taylor's Avacado cream
    Warm water rinse
    Cold water rinse
    Booster Aquarius A/S splash
    Cold water rinse
    Baxter's of California A/S blam
    Anherb A/S Conditioner

Nice easy single pass this morning... and left my neck alone. Took extra time, and used two balms post-shave, to help expedite the healing process.

Nice move Brian and very generous thats the way shaving should go from Father to Son who knows how to proper shave.how it goes now..well you watch Aggassi shave his bald head with an M3 Nitro or David Beckham with his Fusion razor and think they look smooth so Gillette is the best a man can get.

Even at the Kruidvat they used to have their own shave soap bowl line right now they cleared it and probably wont ever make it again they cleared the shelf and now its filled with Can in a Goo from Fusion..
TJ any chance you and I go on a war path and start blowing up Gillette Factories I mean you have animal right protectors what about Wetshavers rights ?

    Wade & Butcher 5/8
    Shavemaster brush
    Tabac Soap
    Taylors Shave Shop AS

A little tough to work the Shavemaster in the Tabac bowl, but I pulled it off. The W&B cuts like a dream. My face is about as smooth as guy's :D

I don't use HBS, but I have seen (out of her own mouth) where they can indeed be melted.
