Not quite the same shave as yesterday, but a smooth DFS ++ is a great way to start the day!

I use the Burt's Bees as a Pre shave when using my Straight or Feather AC - SS, it's a great pre shave with so much slickness good product.

    Palm Sunday

When Jesus road on an ass from "The Mount of Olives" and the people laid Palm Branches o the road in front of him :D

Really there can be only one soap today ;)

Razor, same old ugly German razor which I have been testing AJ's stones on
    Brush, Simpson 57
Soap, Palmolive (grated into a ramekin)
    Post, Alum the Pashana Original

Today the razor was honed on the Possible Cutlers Green, I don't like the name as nobody knows what the Cutlers Green actually looked like so I've nicknamed it the Cambrian Green as thats where AJ says they are from.

As it stands the edge on 1st usage wasn't quite as keen as from the green stone from the Tri Hone set, but it was a very smooth mellow edge more akin to my coticule than my Naniwa 12k A great shave and I think the stone has more to yield with practise.

An unusual morning shave. Most shaves are at night.
Gillette adj slammed to 9, always
    Wilkinson blade
    Ever Ready piggy
vintage Colgate mug soap (outstanding lather!)
    Clubman VIBR
    Burts Bees Bay Rum cologne
and a light dusting of Clubman talc.
3 passes and BBS shave. If you ever have an opportunity to score a puck of vintage Colgate mug soap, DO IT!

    Omega Wooden Handle
    Super Speed/Shark day 4

    Lubriderm unscented moisturizer
    Booster Iced Lime AS :love029: :love029: :love029: :love029:

A very enjoyable and ULTRA-BBS shave this morning because I was able to relax and take my time. The Lider Classic cream has such a nice scent, and it lathers like a maniac. The Booster Iced Lime aftershave compliments it very well, and it feels so good on the skin. ;) :D

    Saturday Morning - 45 minutes

Tunes - Pantera, Vulgar Display of Power
Prep - Hot Shower, Noxema Original Deep Cleansing Cream
    Pre - Proraso Anti-Irritation Pre-shave (green tea w/ aloe)
    Cream - Proraso
Brush - Vulfix 404 Boar/Badger Mix "The Grosvenor"
Razor - '73 Gillette Black Handle
    Blade - Voskhod (2)
Post - l'eau froide splash + Nivea Sensitive Skin Moisture Cream

4 pass 90% BBS .. I wish I had 45 minutes every morning! This has got to be my favorite setup. The Proraso cream can easily be swapped for the soap, and the key for me is applying the pre-shave in between each pass.

I know! It is a 150g jar, but I only need to do 5 or 6 light swirls on the soap and it generates MORE than enough lather for a 3 pass shave.;)
