Look like a great cool shave! I really have to try Frozen Tundra & Lime Ice Sage. I'm still holding off on soaps for a bit, but these are high on the list.

go with lime ice shave soap and a.s. first! best lime shaves for me! frozen tundra is similar, but colder. also earthy if that makes sense. stirling is very different than most artisan soaps, i dont get tons of lather but more than enuff , and stirling is way slicker!! all good stuff and love the sample puck option!

Wonderful shave again this evening. Man I've been on a citrus bender as of late. At least I won't get scurvy. Hope everyone is doing well!

Tuesday evening so it's head shave night as well as normal shave. I changed over to Arko for the head shave soap as my VHD Deluxe used up last week. I noticed immediately how much slicker it was than the Proraso last night. Again, Proraso was slick for a few seconds then nothing. Arko has lasting power like the others I use. I'm pretty sure I'll be mothballing my Proraso bowls until I can PIF them. Anyway, with a fresh Astra SP in the Merkur 23c and Arko - head shave was awesome and I'm a cue ball again.

Moving on from the Fatip I upped the ante tonight to the only DE I have that is more aggressive. The 1918 Old Style. Chose the Fat and the Jayaruh #46 with Maggard synthetic knot. Loading the brush was super easy and the lather was even easier to get going on the face lather. For those who have had trouble lathering the Fat - try a synthetic. I have the routine down with all of my brushes but this one takes the least time and effort to get there. Good stuff.

Two full passes on the brand new Voskhod in the '18. I rode the cap like my life depended on it and still managed a couple of small weepers on the right jawline. Better than I sometimes get with this razor. It's incredibly fun to use. And, just knowing that next year it will be 100 years old and still performs like a new one - now THAT is cool.

Some touch up on the neck got the baby in the house, if you ignore the weepers and I"m going to. I hit it with witch hazel to create less of a burn than alum and called it a great shave!

Back to the grind in the morning. Just three more shaves in March and April will be upon us. Are you ready?? Anyone venture a guess on the theme? Anyone??

Brush: Custom finest 2-band.
Shaving soap: Tadé Laurier Savon du Barbier.
Razor: Maggard Slant / MR14 greep.
Blade: Racer Super Class Platinum (6).
After shave: Arko Men Cool after shave cream.

Test of the Tadé shaving soap.
The lather is better than expected, less than other shaving soaps.
So: should I buy it again ? No ...

Nevertheless a smooth result.

Wednesday Shave:


Razor: Schick Eversharp Hydr-magic // Blade: Personna // Soap: Figaro Almond // Brush: Plisson Synthetic // Aftershave: Alt Innsbruck // Cigar: Imperiales Maduro Robusto

Very nice. The razor shaved well but the blade was a tiny bit "scratchy". Seems that i hadn´t had the right angle or something. Nevertheless the shave was good. The soap smelled very almondy and the lather was thick and very cushiony. The fact that the Alt Innsbruck smells a bit like tobacco, i used that as an occasion to smoke a very fine cigar after the shave to reflect it once again. This is relaxation at it´s best.

Ich bin ein Tabac Mann
Dies war meine erste Verwendung von Tabac Balsam, und nicht überraschend, es ist ausgezeichnet. Es hat Vitamin E und lässt meine Haut glatt und weich. Der Schaum war wie üblich optimal. Eine Sache, die ich an Tabac liebe, ist die breite süße Stelle in Bezug auf Wassertoleranz. Mein Futur hat meine Stoppeln ohne Drama mühelos reduziert. Der Tabac Deodorant riecht toll und ist viel billiger als andere Kölner Deodorants.
