One day MW will give me top class lather, the next it just won't whip at all. I have no clue what I do differently -- apart from perhaps using different brushes. But on that first day, yes, fantastic soap! Next time I'll follow your lead and try a synth.

Razor: Gillette Goodwill #162 1934 (4 corner positioning posts)
Brush: Wolf Whiskers "Becky" handle TGN Finest F2 Badger 26/52 2016
Mug: Old Spice (late glass Mug 02) 1964 – 1978
    Cream: Truefitt&Hill Grafton
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black Post Shave Gel, TOBS Luxury AS

The Goodwill shaves me like my LC and like the LC you have to watch the angles, for a smooth shave. Loaded a Feather blade, and checked the alignment. The Wolf Whiskers is one of my favorite, because it is both very soft and has great backbone. It whipped up a nice lather in no time, in another vintage OS mug. Got a nice two pass shave with some touchup on my trouble spot on my neck, but not too much, as I will pay later. Warm water rinse and pat dry. Some WH and after cleanup and a shower, some JB balm. Finished up with some TOBS Luxury AS! Y'all have a good one!

Prep: Warm shower with Sudsy Soapery Sandalwood Grapefruit soap
    Blade: Chinese Schick
    Razor: Schick G1 injector
    Brush: Badger
    Lather: Arko
Post: Witch hazel splash, Pinaud Citrus Musk, Nivea sensitive balm
    WTG, touch-up

    Cold Water.jpg

Really nice, close shave with the G1 injector this morning. The Arko soap lathered up in no time. This badger brush I'm using was from a PIF last month. It's a fantastic face lathering brush! It does really well. The brand isn't known or remembered unfortunately, but it is a great brush.

I paired with a little bit of Pinaud Citrus Musk to continue the vein of the Arko scent. Nice shave overall.

I hope you all are having a great Saturday!

Nice post Roby, good idea about keeping track on the mileage. I`m interested in trying the double edge chick, (they are kinda spendy). BTW, nice photo.

Prep - Woods Of Windsor Cedar Woods soap / Pre-lather / 3 min steam
Razor - Ever Ready 1912 (Shimmed)
Blade - Personna GEM SE Stainless (#2)
    Brush - Shavemac Raptor 26/52 DO1 3 Band Bulb
Soap - Wickham's Super Smooth Club Cola
After - Frozen towel / Cien Ice A/S
    Result - Dolphin Smooth

It's rare that perfection can be improved upon, so I'm slightly hesitant when anyone suggests a method of doing such. This actually happened twice in my shave this afternoon.
The 1912 is already as close to the perfect shave as is, but simply fitting this shim does something akin to witchcraft - a more aggressive, yet a smoother shave! What is this madness??!!
The second thing event was like unlocking some ancient code. The magic ingredient? A badger! In two years of traditional shaving, I've only used synthetic and boar brushes. Badger brushes are a complicated affair and I'd only resisted purely through frustration. The prospect of spending large sums of money on something I could viably detest, filled me will disdain. An opportunity presented itself recently and I left the decision in the hands of experts. Oh am I glad I did! Wickham's was already in my top three soaps but what I saw this brush do to it today, well those with high end brushes will already know. The resultant lather was unlike any other I had ever conjured up before. I could never have imagined the difference this brush could make.
    Today was a game changer!

Thank you Bill. Hopefully I can get a good amount of shaves from them, I'm hoping for at least 5 because as you noted they are indeed pricey. :)
