I'm now using Proraso pre shave cream. For me, it's been the best yet. I apply it before every pass and I have found it to make a difference on my neck. Do you like the oils? I have discovered through these threads that Walmart in the USA offers a larger selection than in Canada. Basically my local Walmart carries Wilkinson Sword soap in the blue tub!!

Proraso pre is a wonderful product I'm glad it works well for you. I do like the oils that I've settled on, they provide very nice glide and condition the skin even post shave.

 

Yes, oils might be a bit messy but they sure hydrate the skin well.

I still cant get my phone to down load so these are the seller's Pics..I had my Maiden Shave with my newly acquired Henckels 7/8th..I didn't have much to take off with my last shave with my Rolls Razor..1st pass ATG & 2nd pass XTG..Job Done..This is a very Agile & Manoeuvrable SR & the seller I got it from has done a great Job on the Blade..Quite a Fair bit of Feedback with this Razor & ever so Smooth..I love it..

Today's shave was nice. Granddad's brush is always a blessing to use.(and Gary did a marvelous job rebuilding it). Great slick,smooth lather from the pearl. Three passes with the shefield razor, very nice results. Finished with sandalo.

I am glad the Proraso preshave is working for you. I alternate between the Proraso white, green and red preshave creams. Great product.

 

Saturday Shower/Shave

In Shower Prep- Noxzema for face, Old Spice Classic shower gel
Pso-Homemade mint oil

Razor-Gillette Slim on 9
Blade- Gillette Silver Blue (3)
Soap- Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements Gondolier
Thayers Witch Hazel
AS- Old Spice Classic

I bumped the Slim up to 9 today with excellent results. I went slower than usual today and just let the blade work. I altered my usual passes and I went right to left across my face and then ATG. This left me with a DFS but since I had plenty of lather left I went left to right and finished with a BBS shave. I tried hot water to build the lather again and my brush exploded with thick lather. It may be this soap but I'm getting more lather than ever before. I'm going to test my theory tomorrow and use cold water for lather building and see if there is a difference. Once the lather was built it was cold water for everything else, I love the way my face feels with cold water. The Thayers felt great and although there was a little sting from the Old Spice, it only lasted a few seconds. This was possibly my best shave to date. Have a great day folks!

 

Ive only used a synthetic on MW, I'll try a silvertip and see if I have different results.

 

Mystic Waters is very sensitive to water quality as well. If you have hard water it will fizzle unless you really load up your brush.

The Speick Shave Cream face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #51 synthetic brush. Just one pass and touch ups with The Bunny V3 injector razor with WILD comb and a Personna Injector blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with Thayers Rose Petal WH and then Speick After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

One more shave with The Bunny and she takes flight to @richgem . Get ready, buddy.
