    Wednesday - 4/2/14

Prep: Shower followed by homemade PSO.
    Soap: Stirling Grapefruit.
    Brush: Vulfix 374.
Razor: Gillette Slim set on 4.
    Blade: Astra SP (6).
    Post Trmt: Nivea Sensitive ASB.
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Ice Blue.

Excellent shave. The Stirling soap smells EXACTLY like the grapefruit that I pull off the backyard tree every morning. I don't know how he does it, but I hope he keeps it up.

It was quite frankly a bad shave with irritation on my neck. (It's been a LONG time since I've had a bad shave.) It was a day of revelation as well. I figured out a better way to get my neck closer shaven. It was what I shall call a Tao shave.

NO picture I am a little upset at the shave today!

I don't understand what happened, my lather was crap. I lathered my Speick stick like I have a 100 times before but this time the lather was gooey. It stuck to my razor blade made the blade tug like crazy! I haven't had any problems with any soap or cream lathering in a year. It made for a bad day all around!

Did you use the same brush, razor, and soap combo the last shave or was this different than the last shave?

Do you have a pic of the razor? I would be interested in seeing how you got the TTO base plate to mate up with the 3 piece top cap.

    Thor's Day:

Prep: Hot shower, TSD Jasmine Sambac Preshave balm
    Brush: Simpson 56 Best Badger
    Soap: RazoRock Cumba Cheech
    Razor: Merkur 41c 1904 OC
    Blade: Bic Chrome Platinum (1)
    Passes: WTG, XTG, ATG (1, 2, 3)
Post: Cold water splash, Dickinson's WH, RazoRock Cumba Cheech balm
Cologne: Jasmin et Cigarette by ELdO

This was definitely a jasmine-centered shave, and I loved it. Armed with a brand new Bic, I got nearly BBS results on three comfortable passes with only one weeper in my moustache area, brought about by that treacherous ATG pass. The lather was easy to make and stable, needing only a bit more water after the first pass.
