SoS: March 4, 2013 - March 10, 2013

Today's shave is an important one.

I have an interview today and didn't want to show up all scruffy. I probably needed to wait a little while longer, because my neck was feeling rough. But I think the shave will suffice for today.

Prep: hot shower, Axe Cooling Face Wash.
Brush: Vulfix Burlington.
Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech.
Blade: Personna Lab.
Soap: Mike's Barbershop stick.
Post: cold water rinse, Thayer's Lavender WH, Floid Blue, Nivea Sensitive ASB on my goatee area since that area is prone to drying out at this time of year.

I'll blow the interview out of the water. It's down to me and one other guy.

Well, unfortunately they decided to give the job to someone else. I'm sure it probably came down to flexibility with my National Guard schedule. Oh well, there will be other jobs that are truly veteran preference.

 

Sorry to hear you didn't get the job. If the company really did chose someone else because of your National Guard duty then you're better off not working for them anyway. Just the opinion of a VET.

 

Exactly my thoughts. I'm wondering why else they wouldn't hire me. I won't lose any sleep over it.

DE does it's job effortlessly and just wiped out the growth. Nice shave despite the fact I was out of home...

 

Thanks for the compliment. The handle seems to be about he same to be honest. The grip is very good. I think one of the reasons the re-plate worked well was that the original condition of the razor was pretty good. It was pretty smooth all over with no major scratches. However, it was pretty worn and dirty. That's why I was so surprised and pleased with the final result.

 

Another Ditto to the above sentiments....I'm sure your destiny will present itself in due course...Just be patient, positive and enjoy those shaves...

I would like to dedicate this post to the memory of my best little buddy, Charlie.​

He was just 7 years old when he developed a rare but aggressive form of bone cancer.​

Yesterday was his last day. I am really going to miss this little guy.​

Sweet Dog... It´s a bad feeling when your pet passes away...At least when you spent so many years with it...Cancer is such a worse and unfortunately incurable thing...there are no words for it.

Everyone who has a pet is with you right now.We all know what you feeling.

Ten tons of menthol goodness went into this shave and gave me so much enjoyment - the Palmolive Cool cream should be called "Palmolive Freezing" because that's how cold it is. As always, the Axe Chilled stuff deliver their iciness and the Max Refreshing aftershave is a great Bulgarian face-freezer with a nice scent and great skincare.
