    Friday's shave: another Friday already. Normally I shave for our Friday night date night. The wife is up in Canada on business but I'm still heading out. A local restaurant has great bar food, good selection of whiskies, and a big flat screen TV over the bar.

    For the shave - I realized, as I was looking across all the different soaps, it had been quite awhile since I used any of the sandalwood scents - so I grabbed one. TOBS Sandalwood, Simpson "The Colonel" best badger brush (soaking), G1 Fatboy with a Voskhod blade, Dove Post Shave Balm and a splash of Proraso. A more than socially acceptable shave for sitting at a bar eating, drinking, and watching sports.

    Tonight's shave was with a newly acquired, and freshly honed razor, from Germany. I had a very smooth 2 pass shave with this blade. It took a very Keen edge, and left me with Dolphin smooth skin. Very nice shaving razor.

    Prep: Hot Shower.
    Razor: Timeless Razor 0.068mm
    Blade: Personna Lab Blue
    Lather: Route 66 Cavendish
    Brush: MGPENS Game Changer
    Post: Thayers Rose WH.
    Aftershave: RazoRock Puros
    First shave with both the Timeless Razor and Route 66 Cavendish. The Timeless Razor is amazing. I choose the solid bar with a blade gap of 0.068mm (mild) The Timeless Razor is the most beautifully machined shaving tool I have ever owned. 4 pass DFS was had, zero irritation and a joy to use.
    When using a new razor it's important that you choose a great quality soap. I achieved that with Route 66 Cavendish! Cavendish is slick and protective, so easy to lather that I believe I swirled the brush less than 10 times and had enough for a three pass shave. The scent of Cavendish is beautiful, a nicely done Tobacco. I didn't find Cavendish to be overwhelming but rather calming. I iove it!! My MGPENS Game Changer knot is classy yet a lather monster. Finished the shave with RazoRock Puros aftershave. Feeling good. Looking good. Smelling good. Wet shaving.

    The Tabac Shave Soap face-lathered well with my Jayaruh #144 finest badger brush. I did two passes the H. Böker 5/8, I ended up with a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse and alum block, I finished off with T.N. Dickinson's WH and then Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Post: Vintage Avon Tai Winds aftershave.

    What an amazing way to upgrade my day! After a LONG day of meetings and flights, this was a welcome reprieve. The Tai Winds is a more citrusy Brut and paired beautifully with Honor. All smooth and ready for the rest of the day.
