So sad that USPS International Shipping took such a hit with the recent rate increases:(

Some soaps (Route 66) are worth the extra cost. IMO. Postal rates won't prevent me from buying your Superb Shave Soaps. :happy088:

    SATURDAY
A leisurely Saturday morning shave after a hectic week! I took the opportunity to try another vintage frame back razor, this one made in Sheffield by George Wostenholm & Son and imported by the Layman & Carey Co. of Indianapolis (1875-1915). This razor dates to circa 1875-1889. The unique tang with large, deep-set jimps is unlike any I've seen on a Wostenholm razor. This frameback is also quite comfortable to hold and shaves wonderfully. The L'Occitane Cade lather applied with a TGN synthetic knot made for a super-slick experience. Route 66 'Sweeney Todd' balm finish was refreshing. A very nice shave!

I find it to be very limey when I first splash it on and then it fades into a clean scent. Great skin feel when I first put it on.

    image.jpeg Razor: Gillette 195 Fat Boy (f1) 1960 (5) (3)
Brush: Wolf Whiskers "Becky" handle TGN Finest F2 Badger 26/52 2016
Mug: Old Spice 1985 Cobalt Blue
    Cream/soap: Route 66 Bourbon Jungle
    Blade: Feather (1)
Post shave: Thayers Cucumber WH, Jack Black balm, Tommy Bahamas St. Barts cologne

Swirled up some Bourbon Jungle with my new Wolf Whiskers Badger, and its nice backbone whipped up some nice warm lather. The soft brush felt good on my face and I really like the way the handle feels in my hand. My FB is still my favorite razor and as usual, made quick work in 2 passes WTG XTG. A little touchup on my neck ATG on 3 and done. I had enough lather left over for another pass. The WH felt good, nice and cool. After cleanup some JB and when it dried, some nice St. Barts! The TGN knot is very nice in this Wolf Whiskers brush, and the tips are as soft as a Silvertip, but it still has a lot of backbone, even with it not set deep. This one is a keeper! Have a good one y'all!

Beautiful Gillette! The snow made me laugh, as it is in the 70s here and my bride is sitting out by the pool:happy069:

I took a walk on the wild side today and came away unscathed. Everything was good with this shave. The HeV soap performs great and has a scent that is described perfectly on the label. The aroma appears as soon as the lid is removed from the tub and lasts for the entire shave. An hour later and I can still catch faint notes. The vintage Rubberset Brush was never used when I got it and it has the softest tips of any brush I own except the Plisson Synthetic. The sought drawback with this brush is the high loft and it is very floppy. It still makes great lather and feels great on the face.
The Bunny with the wild comb is still smooth and I ended up with one of the closest shaves I've had di far. Finished with Brut AS & Cologne for a great start to the day

    SHAVE OF THE DAY
    20160312_130333.jpg

    Prep: Musgo Real classic
    Razor: 1953 Gillette Tech
    Blade: Lord Platinum (3rd shave)
    Brush: RazoRock plissoft
    Soap: RazoRock AL Sapone
    Aftershave: Folsom & CO Muir
    Balm: Proraso Green

3 pass shave today. First time with AL Sapone, the scent is hard to describe, but it is unlike anything I have come across. It has a leather scent, but with some floral and maybe bergamot or some citrus in there as well. Very nice, this is the lanolin formula and it made a great lather. BBS finish, but did get a few nicks because I was not careful. Went with Muir for todays aftershave since it is the closest scent I could find to pair with the AL Sapone. Hope everyone has a great shave!

    Satin Tip The Purest
Blades Grim Smolder soap and AS
    Nivea sensitive ASB

What a difference! Shaved today with warm water and absolutely no tugging. Blade felt super sharp 3 passes and touch up and surprised me with a BBS! No burning from the AS, awesome shave! Unfortunately I think this may mean cold water is out for me, or I need a super sharp blade to shave with cold water IDK. Have a great day everyone!
